steveger
Irvine's a respected football coach though just was a shyte manager for us, Irvine dosen't have many gaps in his CV and obviously is highly thought of in the "industry" looking at the Jobs on his CV... more or less been employed continuously in football since 1977 with tiny breaks in between, oh and filming Father Ted... Teams managed 1993–1998 Blackburn Rovers (youth) 2001–2005 Newcastle United (youth) 2005–2007 Everton (assistant) 2007–2009 Preston North End 2010–2011 Sheffield Wednesday 2011–2014 Everton (youth) 2014 West Bromwich Albion 2015–2016 Blackburn Rovers (assistant) 2017 Norwich City (caretaker) 2017–2018 West Ham United (assistant) compared to Jos, surprising TBH thought their was gunna be huge gaps on the dole.. Teams managed 1998–2000 SV Straelen 2000–2002 KFC Uerdingen 2002–2003 1. FC Köln (assistant) 2003 1. FC Köln (caretaker) 2003–2005 1. Guest Bulgaria
I tried to do a comparison but fell asleep whilst doing it. Sod the sleeping pills, just imagine being trapped in a corner with Jos and Al.
poite
Just shows how underrated Irvine was. Compare the squad Irvine had to work with compared to Jos
Standidno
Would have to say Irvine, based on the fact I had my last season ticket under his drivel, had to sit through every game. He put me off after 13 years of S/T. i feel for the poor folk that have one at the minute.

basegreenowl
Maybe the silver fox will return as Jos's number 2. Maybe announced at the forum. It would be in line with other lame appointments. We shouldn't be too surprised. Just need some meeningful track record to come along with whoever it may be. But really the entire structure needs looking at from Chansiri down to the tea lady. We get the hopeless ex German league manager and backroom setup whilst Huddersfield and Norwich get ex Dortmund staff. Think the difference there is they might have overhauled the backroom staff inline with the coaches. Whereas we didn't bring in top end German coaches. We got Bullen etc.

Compare the squad Irvine had to work with compared to Jos irvines wage bill around 5 million . under jos n carlos 29 million . on purely entertainment value, shots or chances we have in the box we are the worst in the uk , and dawson has had more shots/attempts at him than any other keeper in the league ,as well as all the nonsense what jos spouts ,as well as banning around 6 players and tactics/subs what no1 can understand. he (jos) is our worst manager ever , anything in the 1970`s is not comparable due to the huge differences in resources . is chansiri touched down yet? does he not sack by text /email/phone? is it the old fashioned way with chansiri ,your fired to his face? . the club this week is done if he aint gone ,as the abuse that chansiri would get on Thursday would be so bad that he might make us rot. 1 if not the most important week I reckon in our history.
