Utah Owl
Our players need to accept that if they played their hearts out (win lose or draw) they might actually win the fans over. 3

Ever the pessimist
To be fair he does say it’s down to the players to give fans something to cheer about and there wouldn’t be boos if they were playing well. 1
torres
He put in such a non performance on Saturday and he is expecting to be cheered off???? Like @Utah Owl says - a full hearted performance with just the basics done right you will get carried off never mind clapped off at Hillsborough

lincolnowl
He’s clearly playing at the wrong club. Its not hard to play at Hillsborough - if you play with the right intentions, at the right tempo and give it the lot you will get support. I actually think the fans have been remarkably patient this year. 1
prowl
Chicken and egg situation. Do they need to play better to get the crowd behind them or do the crowd need to get behind them to encourage them to play better? For my money we need a team of grafters who will sweat blood for the club even if they aren't the greatest ever players. What we get at present is anything but that. Too many who let their heads drop if things go wrong rather than rolling their sleeves up and fighting back. Get a strong character in and make him captain then let him lead from the front. Tom Lees can be a good player but he's not really a leader.
TheEnchanter
Have they any idea about some of the atmospheres abroad where fans literally demand wins or go completely bonkers ffs. This is already a tame country for crowds. They'd struggle to cope with playing in Italy or Germany for example. It has to be said that the fact these guys sometimes struggle with playing at Hillsborough explains a lot about the mentality over the last 2 seasons.
