jamiejohn
Today we put two decent crosses in scored one and should have got another, this beggars the question why don’t we put more balls in the box both our full backs today can’t or won’t put a cross over why are they not working on it in training. I’d have them doing drills for an hour a day hitting crosses surely that’s common sense. Why is our only natural wide man played anywhere but wide left his preferred position where he can get crosses in. Any decent manager bearing in mind we had two tall strikers on the pitch would make this a priority unfortunately jos isn’t in that category
Mystic Neg
The reason we scored one from a cross and nearly another is because it surprised the life out of our opponents. We haven't crossed a ball with a view to scoring for months, had we done it more often, Rhodes may have nabbed a few for starters. Not feckin rocket science

Holmowl
And, how flippin easy is it for teams to get crosses in against us?

torres
We don’t put many crosses it because we don’t have anyone with the ability to cross the ball Fox and Baker are both horrific at it Reach puts one in every 10 attempts Bannan & Pudil are the best but one spends most of the game in the back 3 and Pudil never plays!!!
clud17
One possible answer is that we rarely have enough players in the box.

Drewswfc
We're to busy trying to go straight through the middle and most solid bit of teams instead of stretching teams with width

Mickjj
Crosses? We all have them to bear, ours is Jos.
Blatter
To put an effective cross into the box you need players getting into advanced wide positions. Unders Jos’s coaching we just don’t have this forward movement in spite of having players with the ability to cross a ball. Reach can do it, Bannan can do it and Pelupessy can do it (he now takes our corners from the left). Problem is they run around like headless chickens in central midfield. Coaching a style of play to get into wide positions would be a start. Surely most professional footballers can cross a ball accurately with sufficient practice
Finney on the Wing
Seem to remember Fox putting a good cross in early on yesterday, so early our strikers had only just got in Rovrumms half. Then just after he put another one in which troubled the North Stand more than their defence. Not having a bash at him but these two things did happen. Baker needs to work on it, like Penney. Reach spent most of his time on the wings yesterday and was awful. Even his cross at the end was poor.
Ash77
Man city look better look with Sterling a right footer on right and sane a left footer on left with a central striker, or maybe 1 like mahrez cutting in on his left from right, but not both cutting in or its too narrow and congested. Our fb's are league 1 bar possibly penney at his best so they will not do it, but low crosses into danger areas behind defences are the key to scoring lots of goals, the finishes are relatively easy. Pacy widemen are key to this, they dont have to be great technically to put a low straight cross in, we need at least 1 loan signing like that tho imo Closest at minute might be: Matias jp onomah reach Joao Fletch Edited December 9, 2018 by Ash77
trev
Penney and Reach should be our wingers. One can cut in the other can cross first time. Rotate them on each side. Pudil and Palmer should be our full backs. Tell them to stay back and then Hector can step forward into cdm. This would allow Bannan and Onomah the chance to go further forward to support the wingers and strikers. Sorted.
Shetland Owl
Reach should be down the touchline putting in as many crosses as possible

Flat Owl
We don't put crosses in because our full backs aren't good enough or quick enough to put one in and get back in shape....more often than not no one particularly interested in getting into the box. Fox is probably the best of a bad bunch and has got some over from the left. As for the right hand side, any attempts to get forward break down by either Baker or Palmer playing poor balls inside on halfway and end up out of position having 'trickled' onward leaving us completely exposed on the counter. These players are simply not good enough to present any sustained threat down the flanks and end up limiting any forward momentum by the team unless it's through a contested midfield. Couple that with the ridiculous insistence to play it out from the back with technically limited players, you end up sitting so deep Without any outball and get caught in possession or simply giving the ball away. It's league 1 football, not even at its finest, and that's down to the manager setting this team up to play to its abundant weaknesses...
