This statement from Chansiri....

Recommended Posts

Getting relegated is simply not acceptable but a clear highlight of the serious mismanagement of the club. That statement shows what a cowboy chansiri is. He’s messed about with the squad , put us back to where we were previously (actually worse ) and yet still charges top whack. Bloke hasn’t got a clue

No Doubt he'll keep ticket prices sky high even if we drop into L1 or worse.WTF:WTF:

Dropping to L1 justifies prices being increased, or are you suggesting you'd like us to stay in L1 and not get promoted?

Interesting statement from our chairman made not so long ago.

There's a time on this but unless I'm blind, there's no date. This could have been 6 months ago,and if so, old news.

Giving Chansiri the benefit of the doubt for a minute -

What if the delay in getting rid of Jos is due to a delay in lining up his replacement? The alternative is Bullen as caretaker *shudder*

What if playing these “forgotten” men would result in new contracts for them, players that have proved time and again they aren’t good enough & we need to get rid of at the end of season to help with FFP?

What if we haven’t sold these aforementioned players because to do so would allow them a payoff, or some form of bonus that we can’t/don’t want to pay?

Yes, Chansiri & the club need to be more open with us but by the same token he can’t spill his guts in public on certain things. As a fan base we have every right to be angry & disappointed but hang fire on the personal abuse of the chairman - he’s yet to make his move in response to what’s happening and could be lining up his ducks before acting. That, and he seems a decent man, if naive businessman.

He also said if we didn’t want him here anymore he would go.

It may be time for him to look for a buyer, that includes a bonus clause for him if we get promotion so he still achieves something out of the experience

100% this.  There’s interested parties and ways around FFP.  It’s funny how people say they want Chansiri to stay because they don’t think anyone else will be able to do anything. It’s a bit like wanting to break up with a nightmare girlfriend but thinking no one else will be interested in me so I won’t do anything about it

Unfortunately not enough people will tell Chansiri that we are unhappy and we will continue to suffer. He’s not going to suddenly decide to run the club how we want him to (I.e. properly).  Sad times indeed

every time this club slips into the 3rd tier we bounce back with 30 odd thousand in attendance for the final game …..it's not the end of the world if we do go down.for one thing we have a lot more happier Saturday nights ……..which leads me to ask would you rather beat bury .southend ,etc and win the 3rd division or get beat by Chelsea ,man city etc  and just let the owners count there money  as we wallow in being on match of the day

Option 1 for me.

Just to point out that I did say in my op that this statement was made 'not so long ago'. It's not something he's said yesterday.

It's still interesting given what he said then and what's happening now

TBH, not arsed about the PL.  Not much up there looks particularly appealing.  Looks completely like an unsustainable bit of hamster wheeling and profligate spending while trying to miraculously finish 17th.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY playing in the Premier League is a lot more appealing than playing in the Championship.

The Championship is just another name for the SECOND DIVISION.

The vast majority of supporters want out of this Horrible Division .  ASAP !

interesting and a lot to agree with

If i'm honest there's not much that appeals about the circus the premier league is now - yes WE all think SWFC should be there  but I cant wait for it to implode and revert back to the div 1 it was  prob cant happen now the money's out the bag and it's tainted the game

He HAS taken us back 15 years

id say he is setting us back to 1867 ,we go down this season ,it turns nasty ,crowds drop below 15k ,still have fletcher, rhodes lees and a few others next season in league 1 on there huge wages ,its not difficult to see where it will end. this team now aint more than a mid table league 1 team ,at end of season upto 10 leave ,wont be a penny to bring anyone in , I think our long term survival is we have to stop up this season ,losing 8 million revenue along with having a 29 million wage bill is crippling .

It’s from an ‘Ask the Chairman’ event over 12 months ago.

That statement was simply bullsh1t from DC. No surprise really. He doesn’t care what the fans think, that stupid questionnaire was a waste of paper and let’s he honest be hasn’t a club how to run a football club. Won’t be long until yet again he comes out and says if the fans don’t want me I will leave blah blah blah
