Moyes Please

Recommended Posts

Moyes used to have a room at Evertons training ing ground where every wall was whiteboarded. I  this room they had written hundreds if stats and names of players from all around the globe and it was all updated weekly. Their running stats. Performance stats. Newspaper stories about their misdemeanors.  Absolute thorough personal checks. Long term Is thought he did a terrific job there.

Don't see that working here. Where you sign who you're told.

Shame. Would have been great in some ways.

The fake footballer sticker would have added some guffaws to a grim season.

We need to get realistic as we are fishing in a different pond now for managers.

No money, clubs a mess so replacing Jos will just see another unknown foreign manager arrive.

We should have had a big name when DC first turned up and was splashing the cash.

Ah, the myth that Moyes spent next to nothing at Everton! Everton's "shoestring budget" is a bit different to ours. Moyes spent £5m+ (going up to £19m) on players 16 times including £9m on Bilyaletdinov (who?) and £8m on James Beattie. And if you think that's peanuts now, it wasn't now, it was 10-15 years ago.

Had to sell to buy for most of that time

Theresa May................does some great deals......once we get into Europe she'll make sure we never leave.........she'll say "Promotion means Promotion" whilst trying to get us relegated......will take on the other 27 managers and let them sH! t all over us.......will say this FFP doesn't stop us dealing with any club around the world.......

or brassneck-mugg, we could have a kit from the 1920's so he didn't look out of place, we could say we'd won 10-0 when we'd lost 5-0, spend up to the ffp limit, then 'illegally' fiddle some more in, and paint we'd won promotion and the pigs gone down on the side of a big bus.

then we could have another vote when we realised it was all lies.

Moyes career is over he was great at Everton.

Took on a difficult job that was too big for him at United and has failed everywhere he’s been since probably the most sacked manager in the last 5 years he even beats Carlos in this period

Read a book once (scary I know),  that was written by a coach or scout. Talked about Moyes arriving for his first day at a new club and none of the players knowing him but him approaching training, communicating with all the players and just completely taking care of every detail and completely turning round the fortunes of the club. I think it was when he arrived at Everton.

I'd be happy with him if we have a change

Sociedad - couldn’t speak Spanish, 90% British managers have failed in Spain

Sunderland - crippling debts, awful squad and team for years before he joined

West Ham - kept them up when they were leaking goals

He hasn’t done terribly in my opinion
