Who are they?

No chance Big Sam, Bruce or Jakonavic will come.

Nigel Pearson has said he’ll never manage us.

Mick McCarthy isn’t available.

Who else is there? I’m hoping I’ve forgot about someone.

Has Pearson ever been offered the job?? At the moment he's lodging away in Belgium, managing in Belgium second division. Never be a better chance to get him. His son loves Thai people as well.

The Pearson back story about him not wanting to manage in the City he lives in, is rubbish by the way. The only obstacle would be whether he could work with DC. And that issue probably held us back when McClaren, Lambert and Fonseca turned us down when CC left.

Unfortunately I think it will be another unknown foreign manager.

DC's incompetence has left him in a situation where Jos has to go but the list of possible replacements that know the Championship & who would come to us is small & in the main pretty unpalatable.

Paul Hurst, Heckingbottom, Holloway, Stuart Gray, Megson, Carlos etc.

Do we really want Chansiri to have a future at the club. He will not change so we are in the cack until :Chansiri: goes and takes :luhukay: and:CEO: with him.

We might not have any choice. As distasteful that thought is, it relies on someone stumping up the dough to buy him out.

The only candidates will be foreign, unknown managers that have no experience of the English game. DC and his advisors will just go down the same route yet again.

In addition to being out of work for at least a year and you’ve nailed it.

I fail to see how abject failures at this level like Heckingbottom and Hurst get a mention.

Because who else is going to come?

We need to get over the idea that we're a big deal and that big name managers would "love" to come here. Ain't going to happen.

No-one currently employed at this level is going to quit their job and come to us (and we couldn't afford to pay compensation anyway). Any unemployed manager with a half decent reputation in the game knows they can wait for a better opportunity. Even an up and coming lower league manager would probably look at us and decide we're too toxic to touch.

So we're left with the desperate, the journeymen and the unknown. That's why Heckingbottom and Hurst get a mention - because realistically they're the sort who might take a chance on us.

brian laws - just for 6 mths

He's thrown his hat in the ring tonight.

He sees what's wrong with the tactics and he's called out the lack of leadership on the touch line.

Pretty scathing of what's been going off on the field today, sounds the same as usual. And we all know Laws can do better.

Don't slant him with a six months contract, he understands Wednesday and deserves the respects of what he can bring back to the club side of Wednesday.

My first choice would be Megson, but if Pearson takes the call Mr C should also speak to him. He should speak to Holloway also, as his style is also aligned with the Wednesday way.

That's my short list of four.

Pearson would want to be in charge of which players come and go …………..there is the first problem.

Give the job to Steve Bruce, let him build a team, he built a very decent side with Hull City without too much money.

Not too sure about that.

He he had the likes of Dawson, Davies, Huddlestone, Livermore, Snodgraas and Hernandez already there to build the team around.

And that's a fair point. He also has experience of working with Thais, who appear to have a unique way of working.  Just think he would be ideal, right now. This Jokanovic chap won't be playing free flowIng football here with this lot, and no transfer budget.

Other option would be a random choice, like Derby and Rangers. Gamble on a young manager who has played at the top level. Craig Bellamy springs to mind, but so don't think we've got the long term balls for an appointment like that.
