But if that money isn't spent wisely (it's been spent catastrophically), then it's doing more harm than good.

In hindsight yep

He's been an absolute disaster for the club. Apart from a new pitch, scoreboard and a day out at Wembley, he's failed in every aspect.

90 mins from the prem?....CC's fault not the chairman, if we had turned up and won...most would say shrewd signings money well spent

I always think the argument is flawed about if we won at Wembley Chansiri would have been vindicated.

It depends what he would have done with the £100m windfall from promotion. With the spending we have seen since I am not that hopeful it would have been spent wisely.
Look at the team that beat us that day Hull, they are now below us.

How can it be flawed?

If we had gone up how could you say the money was wasted?

What happens after is a different argument, may well have made a balllax of it...who knows

Was meaning people think if we had won v Hull in May 2016 it would have been a magic wand to every problem we have had since.

Of course we will never know but think problems would be worse now 2.1/2 years on if we had got promoted that day.

OP wasn't spouting his rubbish first 2 seasons.

We have no divine right to win win win win win.

Embrace it. Accept it. Things take time and patience. Dawson, Baker, Thorniley, Penney, Preston, Borukov, Hammoud all coming along nicely....

When these young lads start becoming succesful, you'll be first in the stands cheering.

While we're being patient & putting up with the crap from DC & Jos the first bit of success from the young lads is likely to be promotion from League 1.

Let's not confuse DC's big loans with gifts as he'll get this back when he flogs us - like Milan repaid Allen.

Assuming Owls' shares are in his own or family name, then his only gifts to club is via sponsorship , just £1 million annually.

Money Doyen made came mainly from fans.

On stadium, book value is £25 million in accounts so any sale figure above that would assist FFP - wise.

He could do the old sale and leaseback trick, putting freehold in his name and leasing to club for 150 years at peppercorn annual rent.

Now that really would help out.

Sell the Stadium?? That would be a very dangerous path to go down.
