Whitechapel Owl
Interesting. The translation is slightly dodgy but couldn't believe this bit: “I saw the players in the morning pack their plates with bacon, sausage, beans and egg. And then they made such a soup. I could not stand it, didn’t want to smell it; terrible!"
CalmJimmers
Enjoyed that - interesting that he expected funds to be available and then they weren’t. All Jos’ fault though of course

European player playing up to the English poor diet myth, It's a shame his superior diet hasn't made him any good isn't it. 1

Rogerwyldesmullet
Enjoyed reading that. Thanks Sally. Makes me a little more patient of Jos but I am worried that while he feels the team mentality is a bit weak, he hasn’t considered it might also be partly due to his own inconsistencies of selection. If Yorkshire was a country we would have finish 10th in the 2012 Olympics the Yorkshire way works we only started to get all the injuries when the foreign managers arrived

I really can't see it being the case based on the staff we have and the fitness regimes, Letting the players eat a fry up at training. Sorry but that is total nonsense. areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Thanks for posting that. There are quite a lot of interesting tidbits in there. I thought the final quote was particularly telling, though: "I want to give these guys something, for when I’m gone. Whether that’s tomorrow, in a year or in three years." Luhukay is working under some difficult circumstances, but he seems to be trying to build something more sustainable than the sh*t or bust strategy his predecessor was allowed to employ. I hope for his sake he's here long enough to see the rewards of this work, but if not, I admire him for at least trying to build some more solid foundations than we've had in recent years.

It's been asked many times why the club and it's manager aren't more forthcoming about certain things. Well here we have Luhukay just talking about what he saw the players eating once and not only is this used as an excuse to tell us yet again how utterly clueless he is, but it's even been used to demonstrate that the bloke seemingly cannot utter a single word that isn't a total lie. 15 minutes ago, CalmJimmers said: Enjoyed that - interesting that he expected funds to be available and then they weren’t. Yes it is are a club really going to spend millions on fitness coaches, dietitians and tracking devices and then serve up a greasy fry up to the players at training? It's utter nonsense but believe what you want to believe.
Popular Post SiJ
Yes, I think the main point of this article/thread is to argue about whether the players have had a fry up or not. Good we've singled out the key issues here. Nice job everyone. 2
