Fulham have the second highest net transfer spend in the Premier League so far.

If you look at expenditure only, it's the 4th highest

Clearly Fulham spent quite a bit.

Anyone can spend £100m in the transfer market across 12 signings. It doesnt means squat.

However, spending big and buying 40m pound players is another level.

PLAYER FROM FEE DATE
Fabinho Monaco £39,900,000 01 Jul, 2018
Naby Keita RB Leipzig £52,750,000 01 Jul, 2018
Xherdan Shaqiri Stoke £13,000,000 13 Jul, 2018
Alisson Roma £66,800,000

When do Fulham ever sign £66m pound players. Liverpool do this most seasons. That is signing big! Not picking up Championship players at 6-10m a pop.

You seem confused about signing big-named players and just spending a lot of money not being mutually exclusive

You can sign big-named players, but you can also spend a lot of money on non big-named players. Fulham have the second highest net spend in the Premier League so far this season. Just because they didn't sign a big name doesn't mean they didn't spend a lot of money. They did.

DC isn’t a businessman though and isn’t ruthless. He’s too friendly with everyone and too loyal to his staff and players. CC only went through mutual consent.

What about loyalty towards the fans, he promised us entertaining football He only gave that a year

When you get a chance like this you take it, for me get his as the new manager before someone like Stoke City get there before us.

Could really change our season

Does that mean Westwood aint going to sign for Stoke then. :tango:

You really have to look at the standared of players he had last season, compared to what we have this season.

And where are we going to get the money from for a promotion challenge.  All seems a bit pie in the sky to me.

Would clearly love us to have a similar season to the one Fulham had last season but doubt thats going to happen.

Fulham spent their money......all of it probably....but they didnt spend big because they spread it out over 12 signings. This is less than £10m a player average which is Championship level.

Any tom wee pipe and harry can spend £100m if they wanted too.

The thing is most premier sides already have multi million pound squads and spend to improve them. Fulhams spend was to make a premier squad out of a championship squad, so spending similar to Liverpool, for example, still leaves them miles adrift.

Just been sacked by Fulham and replaced with Ranieri.

At least we may have some sort of attacking threat.

Yes yes yes.

Here is a quote from Ranieri which could well apply us:

"This Fulham squad has exceptional talent that is contrary to its position in the table."

In Championship terms some of our players are exceptional but they don't know what their best starting position is, or get dropped, or are frozen out entirely by the little rocking dictator

Fulham spent 100m and brought in 12 players (some loan fees in there too I expect).

Liverpool spent 172m on 4 players.....

A complete difference in the quality of player obviously.

Just cuz u spend 100m doesnt mean you sign big.
