sonofbert2
I actually think he was looking in better shape and much more confident at the back end of last season. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a touch of reluctance in letting him go but it was needs must and so far both parties are currently benefitting from the decision. I don't think, for what it's worth, that Rhodes will have been part of the Billy Bigbollocks clique but more so a target for some of their resentment. Dutch McLovin
As far as I'm aware selling Rhodes doesn't put us in a better financial position. As it stands I think we have to pay for him in instalments of £2 million a year until paid up, however, if we sell the remaining sum needs paying in full. So if we were to sell him we would need to recoup all the money we currently owe on him, which would be 6 million plus according to reports. Not sure we would get that much. So he may be out on loan again next year. However, should he keep up his form I suspect the loan fee we could get would be better than the 1.5 we got this year. The only way is S6
Either way, he's an asset, in a number of ways. Scoring for Norwich, good sale value. Scoring for Wednesday, like a new player & good sale value. Talk of selling Reach & FF to balance the books are daft when we have Rhodes to sell first & umpteen collecting a wage for doing naff all.
