Embarrassed

Wish I was more articulate so I could explain my emotions right now. But I’m embarrassed.

At kick off I’d have taken a 0-0 for sure as I thought we’d get smashed.

But it on full time fans around me were punching the air and hugging. Hang on. We’re not Rotherham. We’re not Chesterfield. We’re not Doncaster. We’re not Sheffield United.

We’re the oldest, best supported and most successful team in Sheffield and we played for a nil-nil and then celebrated when we got one.

We didn’t try to attack and we only brought on one sub who could make a difference.

Should we accept this? Shoukd we celebrate this?

Missed the part where our litany of injured strikers had miraculous recoveries and were on the bench.

Joao was on the bench.  Matias was only brought on after 75 plus mins.

They were out of steam and ideas by about 55 mins, I think if we'd hit them then we'd have had a chance of picking up the W.

So, an hour before the match you saw the team we were putting out... And then you expected us to go out and play like Barca?

We went there with the intention of keeping the point we started the game with and we got it, we kept a clean sheet and not once did they turn us around, get behind us or have a golden chance (penalty side).

I'd say we had a right to be pleased with the result given what we went there to achieve.

I agree. Had anyone but Morgan Fox had that chance 2 yard out we would have scored. We should have had a penalty too.

A good point and they look good.

Shows how far we've fallen and been mismanaged since the play off final.

Rubbish.  We finished fourth the season after the play off final.

We had a huge injury list in Carloses last season so neither he nor Jos can be blamed for last season's poor position.

But we've only 3 injured players currently, according to Jos apparently (has anyone got a link to that?), so why aren't we back in the top four?

No-one has forced Jos to sell.  We've sold just one player...£1.6m to Bris C and I've never understood why, unless Hunt wanted away.
