Bouncing Owl
Don’t Iike his football at all but I like him as a fella. Straight talking, no bu11sh1t. He would sort us out no problem. It’s not the long term solution but I would definitely have him here and I think it would be a good choice. However, could you honestly see Chansiri appointing Mick McCarthy? Can’t see it. Lomas613
Mick MacArthy needs to change his name to Luhakayrvalahal only way he’ll get the managers job Edited November 4, 2018 by Lomas613

pazowl55
Jos will get the derby. Win he carries on. Embarrassing defeat. Then we have the international break to find a new manager.

We all know that Mick is a bit of a knob and perhaps he's past his best...but, right now, we probably need a bit of hard work, gumption, players running through brick walls and all the other tired cliches. Tbh I wouldn't think he's past his best he's not 60 until February. 3 or 4 years somewhere local to top up the funds as a last job might be appealing. FreshOwl
I just want someone who knows the league, someone whose able to get the message across to the players loud and clear with no language barrier, post match interviews where we can understand what’s being said and not a load of jibberish whilst answering a completely different question
Jim
Not a fan but could see him do a similar job to what Megson did for us but the fact Megson has been out of front-line management for a while might make him a more favourable choice to DC? Popular Post Lord Snooty
Right Mick, here's the crack. We've got a mid table side. Half of the squad are past it, except when they're not playng, then the're World beaters. Your two best plauyers are injured intil their contracts have run out. We've got loads of kids we're bringing through. Some of them are good. Some aren't ready. You'll have to use those. The Chairman says we're screwed if we don't go up this year. We've got to have a masse clear out in the summer; and it will be the summer mind, when the contracts run because nobody in their right mind is going to pay for them in January. The fans want attacking free flowing football with an identity. You're not allowed to sign anyone. You must pick the same team every week as 25,000 people have in their heads- otherwise you've picked the wrong team. We must be in at least the play-offs or the press conferences will start getting prickly. Ok? Do you think you can do that for us? So most of ems crocks. Rest are average or 3rd division players. Kids aren't ready. There's a divide between the club and fans and you want promotion ....and all with a thrusting attacking style of football..... Wi no money to spend? Yes Sounds reasonable that love. I'll crack on. I'm English and I know the League so the rest of it doesn't matter. 3

BarnsleyOwl96
Always done a good job wherever he’s been , the ‘ I don’t like his football’ is rubbish , win games I don’t really mind how we play! Because passing football has really served us well this season hasn’t it...

Especially as we then have two weeks before the next game.

Can we afford not to sack him? In my opinion, Jos has lost the dressing room. We have played a record breaking number of systems, different teams with so much chopping and changing, I think the players have lost faith. Moreover, the isolation of other senior players. Final straw was the dropping of Hector yesterday. Bizarre! I think appointing Mick would be a sensible move for where we are at the moment. We won’t go down, he can work on a shoestring and he will get us organised. If we sold Reach in January, we may get around FFP. I would do it. Can I see Chansiri doing it? NO! steelowl
Mick seems to be the choice of quite a few I've moved from trying to support to realisation that Jos is swamped by this situation and the players he's put his faith in seem to have given up on him if that 2nd half is any guide - simply shocking there is one factor people are forgetting the type of manager we actually want and need will not be able to work with this regime imo
Eccy Owl
100% should be getting him in the building tomorrow, give him a few training sessions to get as prepared as we can hope for and play for the draw.

MM may think he’s strong enough to deal with DC, but likewise may think it’s more hassle than it’s worth.
