So earlier this year a brand new car park on our business park was taken over by travelers for 24 hours. Our office over looks said car park - it was pretty entertaining to watch. In the morning they come out and brushing their teeth, spitting out onto the new garden area. Then later on the women came out and washed pots and clothes in bowls outside. All while their kids roamed the car park and adjoining properties, weeing and literally sh*ting in various locations....

Interestingly, they had brand new cars and brand new caravans. Presumably the caravans have more than suitable facilities fitted, so not entirely sure why their parents allowed the kids to sh*t on the car park.

God help whoever had to clean the place up after. They left dozens and dozens of bin bags as well.

they actually used bin bags? your lucky .

Think you'll find that usually no travelers sh*t in their caravan facilities children or parents.

They class it as a no no.

Not so.   Speak from experience at the Lincolnshire town I live in.   Obviously just a minority but they give all the others a bad name.

Ive always wondered how many travellers have road tax and insurance. Without a fixed address I'd think it would be complicated

They are poor persecuted misunderstood people who just want to travel and live nomadic lives.

Or

Non tax paying scrubbers who dump all their rubbish and human waste before departing and leaving the local community and tax payer to clean it up.

The Police have visited the site but said " no crime has been reported so far "

The fact they are there illegally is a crime itself isnt it ?

 https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/police-officers-make-visit-to-illegal-traveller-site-set-up-in-sheffield-park-1-9421440

I think the fancy term for that article is cognitive dissonance....

The Star are messing with your mind.

When is Illegal not a Crime?

When is Crime Legal?

Which site should they be GIVEN when they are passing through? (While you pay for where you live)

Maybe the Police need them to remain to get their arrest to crime ratios back on track?

Maybe the Star need more hits on that web page?

At least The Star aren't writing about Wednesday or their local hero, Wilder.

none of um, it would cost us tax payers a fortune to track them down cos they move around all the time. same with crimes if no birth cert, dna or photo how do you know who they are, is it cos they told you who they are?

They are still there. The car park looks a right mess. Went past this morning and there were Duvet`s hanging out of the caravan windows, two cars with no number plates on them, and no sign of them being moved on. Why the hell are they still there ?

Maybe it's becoming one of those permanent travellers sights? Where the council provide them with bogs etc and they don't move anywhere, but still avoid taxes!

The daftest named thing going. Permanent travellers sight.

Interestingly* many travellers don't learn to read as they believe it robs them of their SIGHT.

I think you mean site?

*not interesting

They've also been known to leave the odd dog or two left tied to the railings when they leave.

Don't they usually take the railings with them?
