When is the keeper responsible?

Best keeper at the club and not playing, ridiculous

Best keeper 2 years ago.  Let it go.

Absolute nonsense to keep bringing him up.  What good is he at this point?  Recovered from major injury?  No significant match time in ages?

He's done here.

The combination of Lees and Dawson is terrible.

Neither have any confidence on the ball which may be ok when you are more direct but Jos seems to insist we play out from the back.

Everybody can see it as soon as the ball goes near them, especially the opposition.

Would you think it ridiculous if Westwood had breached club rules?

Just saying like.....

You can't blame Dawson for the shitshow in front of him at times but the question still stands.

How long can a keeper go without keeping a clean sheet?

The difference in quality between Wildsmith and Dawson isn't enough to warrant a seemingly guaranteed start every time for CD, and I don't want this to come across as Dawson bashing.

Our lack of clean sheets isn't down to individuals but shaking things up does mean dropping individuals.

SAD

you can see that

Dawson is going to be a very good keeper

but he needs some work in his decision making and his distribution, he doesn't seem to be learning though from his mistakes

People who don't play football or haven't ever played football won't understand what a huge difference this makes to your defending mentality. Dawson who I'm a big fan of, is nowhere near Westwood. I just don't understand the situation.

Jos strikes me as a manager that if he thinks if dropping Westwood for Dawson would make the team better. He would do it, or dropping him for Wildsmith even.

He has done neither which tells me that the problem does not lie with Dawson and can not be fixed with Westwood.

Westwood made us look mugs in the home leg of last seasons derby, went the wrong way for flecks free kick and got done at his near post by a 32 year old from scunthorpe once hed twisted van acken,KW isnt gordon banks, hes 34,with a dodgy knee and back trouble which is why we got him from sunderland.

Hes been a great servant in his time, but his times up,we cant afford sunderland wages unless we ALL want yet another embargo NEXT season and further hamper the manager.

Dawsons done little wrong, his sats are strong,we all need to move on,

He was playing in that derby game with the rib injury that kept him out for the next month.

Not 1 keeper could have saved either of the goals tonight.

The issue today was making basic errors all over the park giving the ball away cheaply inviting pressure

How you’ve been negged for this is beyond me. I guess some people have an axe to grind on this.

That or Westy has become so bored he’s created several accounts to neg anything pro young keepers and anti his agenda.

If you’re reading this Kieran, good luck with next club and thanks for fantastic service. Time to move on, all the best for future!!

dont mind folk starting threads calling the keeper. its up to them init.

but when they actually ask for wildsmith to be given a go!  i mean, how we meant to listen to that kind of horseshit and take it seriously.

ANYONE wanting wildsmith to start knows nowt about football, cos compared to dawson hes f00kinsh1t

I genuinely think he could have done better with the first. His positioning was good and he should be anticipating a shot across goal.

I actually agree, he seemed to be wrong footed then just flopped to his knees.

Not saying he should have saved it but his positioning was abit suspect.

it hit the inside of the post while rolling along the floor ffs.. so would you have let him off if he would have been beaten at the near post then?

This is what concerns me, our defence is not great but I agree it looks like they have little confidence in the keeper.
