I’m sure little to no footballers would rather be injured to be fit and able to play, especially in last years of contracts and needing to prove self to current or future clubs. I don’t begrudge any of our long term absentees from doing activities away from football so long as it’s not hindering their recovery. There's a ridiculous misconception on here that players who want to achieve as much as possible in their short careers are actually happier getting paid to be injured than to play football. Mrmason69
Any other team would have retired hooper by now. Sadly he's a crock. An excellent ball player but a crock.
Bluesteel
Whilst Hooper has had ongoing fitness issues, he is a different class and can propel a team up the table. Last season he was in great form and he probably saved us from relegation in the end and he was out from the autumn! The season before I think he helped us on a 5 game winning streak taking us to the playoffs. He got injured and we looked totally different. Keen to see what he can add to this side even if temporarily.
