Popular Post Ronnie Starling
After being asked why Villa lost todays game Steve Bruce responded "We are missing a key player from last season that brought an extra dimension to our side. Who made our team tick and made us look like we had 12 players on the pitch with him. His decision making was fantastic and often frustrated the opposition. His discipline meant we gave away hardly any free kicks and I could rely on him to make things happen being my eyes and ears on the pitch and change things during the game with our in game chats. He knew when to slow the game down to stop the opposition from playing and when to allow us to play quick. But in the end he chose to retire from the game. The reporter then asked if there was any chance of bringing John Terry back from retirement to which Bruce snapped "what are you on about? I was talking about Neil Swarbrick!" 2 1
