A dose of reality

Recommended Posts

Against mediocre opposition, we created nothing.

Apart from them new lad in midfield, and the usual industry from Bannan, there was nothing. Like Ipswich away last season, bullied and outfought by a team who were less talented but better organised.

Reach and Matthias were anonymous, but he left them on the pitch. For those who have been banging on about Jos being the answer, they need to change the question.

Blame the man in charge.

We we aren’t world beaters but we are better than this.

His negative tactics and team selection is laughable at times. Even his substitutions are comedy.

Change needed and fast, if we want any hope of claiming the sixth spot.

In previous seasons I've thought there weren't many stand out teams and top 6 was realistic.

From what I've seen so far this term, I can't see top 10.

I think people need to be far more realistic anyway. We won the 3 on the bounce but we did play 3 of the 4/5 worst teams in the division.

We're a very mid table team that will get a few wins but mostly lose/draw games and finish around 16th this season, anyone thinking anything else (especially top half) is fairly delusional. This is a transition year where we finally get rid of the dead wood and regroup, whether Jos is the man to do that I'm not sure but hes not doing a bad job with the squad we have. The only worrying thing is the last two games are our 'easy ones' in our next 6/7 fixtures and we only got one point. Will be very different mid October when we've not won another point

We're getting nowhere near 6th spot, with or without him.

We created a number of opportunities but it was that final ball, or the mistimed runs at the end that let us down like for disallowed goal.

Reach guilty on several occasions but he will come good

What you on about, it's a mid table squad ffs. We're doing exactly as we should be.

We are just not very good.

One look at the squad will tell you how this season will play out. While we will have some good days the majority will be like Saturday or tonight and we will finish top of the bottom half.

Not often 85% of the team has such a bad night but they were nearly all well off it tonight. Pity, momentum was building nicely. A real dig-in needed over the next few tricky fixtures if we're to gloss over this deflating blip.

Unfortunately Tom, it's likely that the 3in3 was the blip; against poor sides.

This is the likely reality.
