Who thought Pelupessy had a good game? Never shied away always looked for the ball, even when the cretins had the knives out. He's no creativity but put in some good tackles and kept it moving.

He didn't do a great deal wrong but nor did he do much right. We need more forward thinking midfielders at home. Onomah showed straight away his difference in class going forward.

I thought he was solid

Played well, played some great passes and took players down and out of the game when it mattered.

I think anyone criticising him today should watch the whole game again on video and watch him because for me he was solid.

Thought he was inhibited by the ref constantly giving fouls against him.

Agree, sadly a lot of our fans don't appreciate the tactical side of the game or simply have no clue about it.

Today was interesting.. Bannan gave the ball away a couple of times to silence from the crowd, and then Pelupessy played a pass slightly behind Bannan and the haters were straight on his back vocally.

The minute Onomah came on he looked to drive forward and pick a pass. Pelupessy just wants to give it Bannan.

He works, puts in plenty of effort and chases every ball.

 

But this is his major problem, he chases every ball - even those he has no chance of winning, or doesn't need to contest.

 

For a holding midfielder, the amount of time he effectively 'empties' midfield is criminal, the opposition then have a clear run at our defence, this should not happen, and often results in another yellow card for Bannan.
