HarryJ
Eric McMordie also springs to mind. Scored quite a few in a very poor team.
Lord Snooty
I do think long term Wickham would have solved a lot of problems 1

Kanye West
Would have love to have signed Wickham at the time. It's a shame he's had so many injuries too.

Costello 77
We might look back on venancio or Sasso as one's who got away.
Groundhopping Owl
Wickham for me, if we'd have kept him and he'd stayed fit he'd be better than any of our current strikers, which in fairness is saying something. Jones would have been a massive help at the time as well. Not quite the absolute best, but if we'd managed to get Joe Bennett permanently it would have solved our problems at left back. Thank God Penney is now making the position his own, but we've suffered over 2 years of mediocrity or worse in that position since he left. Inspector Lestrade
Neil Mellor did his bit and should be mentioned in despatches
Pablo Bonvin
Venancio also springs to mind (ironically my predictive text changes his name to "financial"....). Also going back a bit I seem to recall it all going a bit nipples up when Franz Carr went back. But I might be wrong.

Guest wilyfox
Wickham the obvious one. Less obvious, I had hoped we'd sign Marshall, Tavernier and Batth following their loan spells at the time. Felt there was more to come from them. owlZfan84
Kenwyne was fantastic for us. I don't think a short term loan has ever had such an impact? 7 goals in 7 games wasn't it?
