It's a sliding scale depending on the severity of the breach of rules. If a club breaches P&S by £1 it wouldn't be fair to give them the same punishment to a club that breaches them by £10m. Birmingham have broken the P&S rules and been given an embargo. They have then breached the embargo and signed a player for a hefty fee. Points deduction seems the only option. Luke
best memory of Birmingham ,was when we played them at their place in the FA cup under megson and some chav was giving it large in the home stand and Wednesdayites where singing 'tracksuit from Matalan' at him
handworth52
I think we aint heard the last of it regards us,chansiri was quite clear we are in trouble if we don't go up this season, he said he wernt so much bothered about a fine ,but more a points deduction . our wage bill is still way too high , it will be a lot lower next season once we lose westwood, fox, abdi, jones, boyd pudil hooper lee and 1-2 others that lot alone are on seriously high wages way more than than the combined wages of a club like preston . but getting our wage bill down next season probably wont help our possible penalty at the end of this season, we are way over the 39 million losses but whether the league take a softer stance towards us as we are trying to get the losses down who knows.

Any reason why they would not make public. I do think that we at least have made an effort to address the finances. Was not the smartest move by Brum I guess. This FFP though is surely missing the point as like us Brum have seriously wealthy owners and why not just let them spend the money. The real danger is when an owner gets fed up with the people at the fa tell8ng them what they can do.
theowlsman
About right. Everyone takes the pish and gets away with it on the whole. Wednesday get their sums wrong and it’s time to make an example. No doubt pushed by the Premier League. They seem to have their grubby fingers in most pies
Harrysgame
I think the real problem is that the EFL are worried about losing control as they have lost the PL clubs and may become irrelevant. Time for PL 2 I think.

It's a level playing field with P&S, rich owner or not, the clubs are constrained by the same rules, rich or poor.
Bloxwich Owl
I was under the illusion that no signing was completed until it had been ratified by the EFL, therefore how did Birmingham manage to complete this signing??
