Came well regarded in the 70's div 3 near death season and then seemed to have no confidence at all and got booed a lot. He scored in one game at Hillsborough I saw, seeming to put all the negativity behind him, then we got a penalty and he takes the ball, all confident now, and hits the bar. Back to the boos! Can't remember if it was due to injury, suspension or both but we had to loan a keeper to play in the League Cup semi-final against Blackburn who was willing to join a struggling Championship club on loan and also wasn't already cup tied.
