Ever the pessimist
Someone on Twitter (I know - many will instantly dismiss this) says police have been told the derby in November is to be moved to the Friday night. Looking at Sky’s already scheduled fixtures that weekend it probably has to be Friday night or Saturday tea time if they are to broadcast it. AwokenGiant
Sounds logical in terms of Sky, illogical in terms of preventing trouble. That said, some may argue that it doesn't matter what time of day it is. Edited August 31, 2018 by AwokenGiant

Since when did Sky care about the club's? They are only in it for themselves.

bigrbuk
Friday night or Saturday tea time, doesn't make a difference. Sky should be forking out for the police though.

MartinOwlMan
We are living in a time when a match scheduled for 3pm on Saturday can be moved to 12 noon the same day because of a police requirement: but corporate scum like Sky can get the same game moved to Friday night, the absolute worst time of the week for potential crowd trouble. How did the world get like this?
Ever the pessimist
Yep. The forthcoming Leeds game was exactly that scenario: SYP requested it was moved to the safer time of Saturday lunchtime. Shortly afterwards Sky change it to Friday night. The cynic in me thinks Sky half hope for scenes similar to those last time we played them on a Friday night.

Bassetts Allsorts
I don't think it is much of an issue moving it to a Friday night these days due to the reduced away allocation both teams now get. I'll be p1ssed off again if they get the Friday night game and we end up with a Sunday afternoon kick-off at Hillsborough.

Harrysgame
Quite like the atmosphere on a night match. Shame it will cost the blades more money on Policing. Maybe give us a few more tickets to help cover the costs. On a serious note is there any reason why clubs can't get a contribution from the away club for Policing, would seem to be fair to all then?
