But an improving Palmer and still relatively unknown Penney may well be good enough. Baker challenging Palmer and Thorniley challenging Penney if Hector is good enough presumably give us our main defensive options. theowlsman Posted August 31, 2018 Share Posted August 31, 2018 It would make more sense for Chelsea to keep tabs on Piazon if he stayed in this country, and I think we were the only English club looking to sign him. And he was supposed to be going out on loan today. If he has decided to speak to other clubs, then they can only be foreign clubs, and they have a bit longer to talk to him, so I guess it’s off, deadline missed. Unless there’s another bloody controversy about paperwork being submitted on time etc. Surely we don’t have to suffer another Rhodes debacle?
