I thought this was going to be a Keegan for manager thread.

Should be worth a watch, I know when his brother has interviewed him he tells some pretty damming stories of his time under Danny Wilson and how basically he hadn't a clue what he was doing and how out of his depth he was.

My favourite player as a kid a true Wednesday legend and great servant to the club. Massive love for Pressman.

Loved a penalty. If he could have got down quicker to shots could have been one of the best keepers around. Still was a quality keeper though.

Nothing wrong with his reflexes and despite the myth his agility was second to none.

Best keeper of his time never to play for the full England team.

Spot on. I suspect the myth is perpetuated by people who only recall his last season or two at the club. In his prime he was brilliant.

There where some games I remember him looking so slow at getting down to shots, probably was towards the end of his career though. Completely agree though that in his prime he should have been playing for England.

*striker gets ball*

*striker approaches Wednesdays goal*

*striker just passes it down low to the left or right hand side of King Kev*

GOAL

Was it Pressman who chased a burglar for miles?

I'm sure i remember that happening and him saying he chose the wrong player to try and outrun as Pressman could run for days....despite his size (apparently).

KP tweeted earlier in the week that he recently applied for the GK academy job down at SWFC, but we opted for Tommy Lee instead.

In other news, I saw KP in Tesco @ Chesterfield last week. He's not aged at all.

And no, I don't know what was in his trolley.

It was in the Mirror, and Big Kev's car got nicked, so he rang the police, chased the guy in his wife's car, and then he saw his car in a ditch, totalled, and went over to check if there were any casualties, the thief got out, and Kev chased him for about a mile and then caught him. Whether he was in his pants or not, I don't know. I hope so. Pressman was hot when he was younger.

I'm not a native of Sheffield so haven't heard Howard Pressman's show, what did Kev say about Wilson on it? I know Wilson was utter gash and IIRC he and Kev didn't have a good relationship. I'm intrigued now, I want to see what he thinks about the Westy saga!

I don't want to derail the thread but do you always get crap signal with three? I do. I'm thinking about changing network.

We wasted money on Woods when we had a perfectly suitable keeper in Pressman at the club. I remember one game when Pressman came back into the team when Woods was injured and the crowd cheering Pressman coming for and collecting a cross with confidence which was something Woods struggled to do.

Loved KP but will never forget him getting lobbed from being a yard off his line against Rovrum, think it was Darren Garner.
