I'm surprised that nobody knows that those tall masts with long vertical boxes mounted near the top at football grounds are designed to delay tinternet signals so that people don't lay instant bets off or check out the bet early....

Really ?

Everyone is on 4g and fighting for signal. If you go into mobile data connections and set 3g only you'll get a 3g range to yourself and it works fine.

Works in most crowded spaces

Good tip cheers!

Ive never even been able to send a text in the ground

Some people just want to check their status on poopbook and misagram and bitter etc.    just watch the game you won't miss anything not checking and if it was important we will here about the news if it was major

I'm on 3 and have no problem with 4g in the South Stand. Obviously it doesn't work once you go down to the concourse under all that reinforced concrete which acts like a Faraday Cage And blocks out radio signals.

The match looks so much better on a four inch screen on Twitter though.

lol

On a serious note if you listen to the tin foil hat conspiracy theories on You Tube there are scientists out there who think radio waves like 3g and 4g can be used to subdue crowds. (5g btw is forecast to bring about the end of humanity, so enjoy it while it lasts)

lol

They should ban the signal in the ground. It may have unexpected results.

One for the Steering Committee perhaps.

Another 3 user here. It's a bit slower, but works.

You’re all fighting each other for the same signal. May as well literally do that and throw a few punches at anyone else you see on a phone to try and slow them down.

Sounds like a decent halt time bit of entertainment.

That or bring back the bins. :duntmatter:

I'm on Virgin and have the same problem.  Never try to use the mobile in the ground anymore.

I’m also on EE and the signal is rubbish where I sit on the North.

Whatsapp is about the only thing I can use to send and receive messages in the stadium.
