Wednesday In One Word

Recommended Posts

After 60 years of watching Wednesday I'd sum us up as frustrating.

1961 we got more points than the lge champs of 1960 and 1962 but it wasn't enough.

1966 only Bolton had ever let a 2-0 lead slip since 1872 when the FA cup started.   We were the second.

Frustrating that we hammered a Danish side 3-0 in a friendly and their keeper who we were looking at played badly.   Errr.... Peter Schmeichel.

Frustrating that it was frosty outdoors when Cantona had a trial with us in 91-2.

I could go on all day.....

WIFE

It's just like being married.

Just like the wife i love em to bits.

Spend alot of time and energy on them for little reward.

Miss out on other things i could be doing to be with them.

They infuriate me at times.

Dissapoint me as well.

They've taken up vast ammounts of my money over the years.

But when it's good, boy is it good and their the only one for me.

Without swearing I have thought of or heard all the following words to describe  (or precede the word) Wednesday at one time or another.

Why?

Floundering

Slumbering

Frustrating

Sleepwalking

Wonderful

Compulsive

Beguiling

My

Our

Sleeping (Giant)

Wondering.

My favourite is "Wonderful Wednesday".

But most often they really have got me "Wondering Wednesday"
