torres
Sounds pretty disappointing. The club really needs an overhaul to assist DC - the current crop seem totally clueless. To be fair it’s what a lot of us have known for a while.
toppOwl
I tried to stress a few times that turnover of players can be a healthy thing (Derby do it quite successfully) but Mr C seems to suggest that they are his assets and no can have them, I remember how despondent I was with the sale Dalian Atkinson years ago but the money raised bought two players (Wilson and Williams) that improved the team. 2
TheEnchanter
The guys out of touch with reality and a lot of the fans. Those that can't see how he is responsible for leading us into this financial mess are stpod playing the violin on the titanic. You won't get me abusing the guy so stop rolling out our evil fans as an excuse and open your eyes. We have been completely mismanaged. Look st other clubs in comparison to us. Or... keep saying everything's fine. Keep thinking not being told we're in an embargo is fine. Keep thinking 3 years of spending hasn't been planned and accounted for is fine. Keep thinking a chairman that takes every opportunity to lecture his fanbase about how to behave and support the club is fine. Keep thinking having the highest prices in the league is fine. Keep thinking that he is understanding of our fanbase. Keep believing it'll turn good. Maybe if you fork out a couple of grand on an 1867 scheme it will. So why don't you clappers get your hands in your pockets?
Guest mkowl
I am sure Liverpool did not want to sell Coutinho but it happens. Player trading is part and parcel of the game. Apart from SWFC We are trailblazing again

gurujuan
I guess Mr C believes the best way of dealing with the losses, is to achieve promotion this season I’m normally pretty pessimistic about all things Wednesday, but I wouldn’t write off our chances of achieving that. If we can address the imbalances in the squad, through a few quality loan signings, then we should be able to mount a challenge Jos will have at his disposal, a far stronger squad than the one Carlos got to Wembley He needs to find the system that suits the players, and limit the chopping and changing Once the squad is balanced, there’s no reason why we should be talking about mid table consolation. Let’s give it our best shot 1
vulva
Just can’t see a way out of this. Someone mentioned the other night it’s like a poor game of snakes and ladders. We might go up a rung, but will keep falling down the ladder. Re FF it’s like what Adams said about Ozil the other day. He’s the icing on the cake. Problem is, we don’t have a cake. Other than Cakeball of course.

That get demotivated. That lose value. That aren't as good as they once were. Wtf is this strategy and how can some fans accept it. 1
Mr Farrell
I'm stunned anyone is suprised. I can forgive him for foooking everything up and putting us in an embargo. I can't forgive him for not listening or learning from his mistakes. Worrying times. 2

modboy
He's very naive if he thinks fans are going to bail him out of the mess re overspending on players such as Urby, mcmanaman, Buckley etc and to a lesser extent Abdi, Rhodes, price, Jones, Westwood etc and not playing them Edited August 25, 2018 by modboy

Without bringing in a sizeable fee for a player or two, I can't see how the club hope to escape further embargoes. It's what every other Championship club without parachute payments has to do in order to allow them to continue to invest in their playing squads. Fans would accept that; it's how football at this level works. What fans won't accept is being offered yet more high priced harebrained schemes as an alternative to prudent management from those in control of our club. Our plan at the moment appears to be to bury our heads in the sand and pray for a miracle, and it worries me no end.

Popular Post RUMBELOWS91
You're off on a stag do. There's a good group going and you and your best mates are going on a minibus. It's a long long way from home. It's a decent night- lots of cheap beer, a late night takeaway and all in all not a bad night. The stag do is over and you've got a stinking hang over. You wake up, look around the room and see that your mates have gone. You peer out of the B&B window and see the minibus has already left. With nothing else to do you go down for brekkie. In the breakfast room is a face you vaguely remember from the night before. Its a fella that You didn't know before but seemed to be part of the stag party by the end of the night. A bit of a 'flash Harry' who was buying everyone drinks and paying everyone into the 'VIP' section of the clubs. He seemed ok, but you were pretty hammered at the time. 'Flash Harry' spots you in the corner, and shouts you over. You tell him you've missed the minibus. "No problem" he says, "I'll take you home". You know nothing about him, you don't know where he lives, but your.miles from home and you're almost out of cash. He seems friendly enough, so you finish your brekkie, gather your belongings and head to the car park. In the car park is a brand new, top of the range Bentley. Surely this isn't Harry's motor? You quickly realise it is. You wonder how he can afford to.insure it, never mind drive it- but you need the lift so you don't question it. You set off slowly through the narrow streets with the windows down. Its a sunny day, 'Harry' puts on some banging tunes (loud) and youre getting plenty of attention from the pedestrians. You make your way out of the town and onto an A road. "Harry' puts his foot down. He's doing 80 in a 50 and you're getting a bit twitchy, but it would be a bit rude to say anything. Half an hour into the journey and you notice 'Harry' is taking an unfamiliar route. You're not 100% sure of the way home though, so you sit quietly, trusting 'Harry' knows where he's going. You're now on a motorway doing 110mph. It's a hell of a ride in the brand.new Bentley- you can see people looking from other cars as you overtake them. Some are clearly loving the car, but some are shaking their heads at the speed you're going. You're an hour into the journey and Harry stops for some petrol. Out of courtesy you offer him £10. "That's not going to get us very far is it?" says 'Harry'. You reluctantly, and somewhat begrudgingly hand over another £10. Harry didn't ask for any money before, it seemed like he was just helping you out. Off you go again and the conversation has dried up. The silence is a bit awkward, but half an hour later you notice that 'Harry' is definitely going the wrong way and he's still driving well over the speed limit. You're getting agitated- you feel like it's inevitable that you're either going to get stopped by the police, or even worse - end up in an accident. Having parted with your last cash, you finally pluck up the courage to say something - "This is the wrong way, you do know where i live don't you?" "Of course I do, what's the matter? Aren't you enjoying the ride- isn't this more fun than the old minibus you can down in?" You look at the time and you wonder if your mates are already home in the old minibus. Out of the corner of your eye you can see the red light on the petrol gauge is back on. You're never going to get home without another trip to the petrol station, but you've no more cash and you know 'Harry' is going to ask for some. You know you should be grateful for the lift as you had no way of getting back without it, but you're still miles from home, out of cash and wondering if you're going to be asked to get out and walk.
