Genuinely baffled by this entire thread.

Baffled by some of your ratings on our players in the ratings thread, not very positive for a 1st win and a clean sheet.

Boyd was poor but why is it not OK to be critical of Palmer yet you can describe Boyd's performance like that? Yes Plamer played better than Boyd tonight but why the hate?

I dont have an agenda against boyd.

The 'haters', who always post negatives about palmer - however well he plays- most definitely do.

Its simple, Palmer had a decent game, Boyd didn't. Why does everything have to be an agenda?

An opinion is an opinion.

An agenda is when you twist everything to fit your preconception, regardless of immediate evidence to the contrary.

As if it needed explaining

Why have some of our supporters got an agenda against Palmer? What is the basis for this?

Maybe you need to watch the game back again?

(I say again, I'm still not convinced you've watched it the first time lol )

Watch it back and see what he does on 33 minutes. Sloppy pass, poor attempt at a tackle, saunters back while Sunderland break free. Alex Hunt busting a gut to cover him, and Wildsmith eventually gets possession. Ball goes forward and Palmer is just walking past the half way line.

Crossing terrible - left foot effort in the second half was embarrassing.

Late in second half when Sunderland took a throw in and Gooch? just turned around him and broke free into the box. Palmer had his hands all over him until it got to the box.

I dont know.

Not interested in hearing it all repeated again by them either.

Be nice if the guy just got some appreciation.

Because he played well.

To say he played poorly is to disregard his overall performance and pick out the bits that suit your argument.

My opinion is that he didn't play well.

I don't think he was great tonight. Made a couple of basic errors in each half that would have been punished at a higher level. I don't think he is suited to the wing-back position and would be more suited in a back 4. Saying that I would say he was the 2nd best performer of our 5 defenders tonight, about a 6 out of 10.

I don't think I have an agenda against him but feel free to tell me otherwise.

you don't have to leg it around luke a rabid dog, even when you make a mistake.

I think you've got a bit of a fixation with him.

Played well- shame you can't get past his previous performances and see it

I don't know about you personally but some have.

I agree with you he is more suited to RB than RWB.

And I'd still get a new wing back with pace if we can.

I can give him praise without thinking he's a world beater.
