Beholder
He was good. Dependable and very comfortable in the ball. He is clearly better than Baker however much the haters would love it to be otherwise.

handworth52
ratings wildsmith 6 did well with the little he had to do palmer 7 couldn't fault him 2nite played well van aken 6 1-2 times looked shaky but seemed to steady himself ,good block lees 7 steady niellson 5 looks ungamely /cumbersome didn't fill me with confidence boyd 5 looked sloppy no wonder jos didn't pick him for 1st 2 games even though I said he should have. reach 7 well played for goal getting in between defenders bannan 8 class as always hunt 4 sadly looked like a lost boy Kirby 7 got forward ,looked far more assured on the ball fletcher 6 played well in general but kept getting offside ,lacks pace matias 6 took his goal well did well penney 6 looked steady when he came on lee was not on pitch long enough to judge

Swiss Toni
Improved in the second half but in the first both he and Boyd were offering nothing in defence or attack and it made us SO narrow.
shezzas left peg
Credit where its due, played well tonight and was pretty solid..... Much better without that silly Barnet
Salmonbones
Palmer is in the early throws of adding something to his game he has not been allowed to do in recent seasons. You can see he's trying and you can see it's almost working, and tonight - despite Kivo's attempts at humour, or whatever it is - Palmer did have a good game. Like a lot of players right now, he needs time to adapt, and tonight was another step in the right direction - certainly not the finished article and he did make some mistakes but not really a night for dishing out grief really. We won, and several players, Palmer included - but also a lot of kids - did very well.

Beholder
Palmer gets a 7 from me. Boyd a 4. Awful. Falling over for nothing. Plss weak and half assed. Hunt a 4, he isn't ready. Nervous and scared of the ball. Reach and bannan our best players with 8s.

Kopparberg
Palmer needs to fight for his shirt back off Baker, hopefully that’s what he’s doing. As a side note, I think all the back 5 are struggling a bit to look comfortable right now.

Grassy knoll
Palmer played well today, though totally neshed a challenge around 87 minutes even though it was 70/30 in his favour,i can take players being poor but players bottling tackles really does infuriate me

They looked good going forwards just behind the striker, they just had maquire up top for the final push every time and he wasn't enough. Honeyman and a couple of others look like they could be a threat in the Championship, never mind L1.

Palmer stood up to it well.

Yes Plamer played better than Boyd tonight but why the hate?
