More positives from #SWFC

Recommended Posts

Wednesday return to Hillsborough for the first home game of the 2018/19 campaign this weekend.

The preparation for the clash with Hull City is all but complete as Jos Luhukay plots a return to winning ways for Wednesday and a first three points of the new season.

As previously communicated, the front cover of all matchday programmes will have a special Sheffield flavour as we send a member of the first team squad to a renowned area of the Steel City, with the aim of producing an eye-catching cover shot and feature section.

But we are not just stopping there as the Sheffield theme will continue inside the stadium.

Feedback from supporters has indicated a strong desire to embrace the Sheffield music scene at Hillsborough, and those in the industry with links to the club, and we agree this could add a special value to the matchday experience.

With a strong musical heritage in the city, coupled with current and up and coming artists/bands making their own waves, the club feel that embracing and showcasing this talent is a positive step.

Starting from Saturday’s match v the Tigers, we will create our first all-Sheffield playlist, including changes to the more familiar pre-match anthems of yesteryear.

Going forward, we are encouraging supporters to get involved and tell us what music they feel would add to the atmosphere at the game and we’ll add the best to make a fresh playlist each week.

Enjoy the music and most of all, enjoy the game!

This just proves what the club has been missing.

It's not all about money and ploughing billions into a club. (Although that is nice)

If you keep your fanbase up to date and let them have an input they feel apart of their own club, which they should do.

Letting us pick the music, showing us behind the scenes footage of training and skysports photo shoots. Interviews with the players, more witty Twitter updates is exactly what we need. It all helps and all brings a much more positive feeling around the place.

Keep up the good work.

Glad to see the club are starting to listen to the fanbase at long last.

As someone has mentioned baby steps and all that but it would be nice to think that DC might eventually listen and take action on some of the bigger concerns of the fanbase.

Anyway i don't want to go into that too much and get all negative as someone who has been critical of our club this past few months i just want to meet up with my mates for a few prematch beers and banter, pop into Trafalgar chippy for fish chips and peas, then enjoy Wednesday ripping Hull a new one.
