The Westwood situation just gets stranger

if he isn't sold by deadline day I would imagine he will play, probably not wanting to risk injury at the moment

Maybe we are required to sell Westwood, perhaps most supporters realise that but absolutely bizarre for the Manager not to speak with him prior to the Wigan fixture. Appalling treatment.

If as some have suggested the deals done in principle and it’s awaiting another transfer to be completed before this goes through, with a condition of deal being no playing then why would Jos be speaking to him?

I think ink most of us expect stoke to sell their keeper, and that will trigger a transfer domino as they buy replacements. I’d not be surprised to see that happen on Thursday. Don’t really understand the criticism of this one.

8 hours ago, Hillsborough Mole said:

I would put good money on an announcement tonight that we are absolutely NOT in an embargo, and that all of this speculation is absolutely damaging to the club.

Hope you didn't :carlos:

As long as the situation is handled professionally and KW is treated with the respect he deserves throughout a re-introduction to the team or through a transfer out of club.  He has put in some outstanding performances for us since he joined and has earned a right to be treated in this way.

It is not looking good however and I don't want to see him go, but the sign of the times shows that we will have to hope our two rough diamonds polish to be able to fill the big void he leaves us with.

All hinging on Courtois going to Real Madrid I reckon.

Courtois to Madrid

Butland to Chelsea

Westwood to Stoke.

Not many clubs need a first choice keeper at this stage of the season. So we will need to tout him around if we want to cash in.

With Rob Green going to Chelsea and Lee Grant to Man Utd, I wouldn't rule anything out.
