In just two days time Sheffield Wednesday will set about getting their 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship campaign underway with a visit to the DW Stadium to face Championship new-boys Wigan Athletic. For the Owls, it seems like a favourable fixture to try to lay down a marker by putting three points on the board. I've seen some bad performances over the years but to put in one so abject on the opening day was a disgrace. It might have helped had the players actually had been fit for a start. The majority of them were blowing out their arses after an hour. You knew from just one game that things were on the slide.
