In my limited knowledge (mostly football manager based) 

 

The Keeper was 1st choice 

Fuenes Mori at CB is a new signing from Everton 

Samu Castillejo is being linked with big clubs all over Europe on the wing. 

Santi Cazorla  just signed from Arsenal. 

 

Think that's about it.

Watched him for a few years at Malaga Plenty of talent, but tended to hit the deck a bit too often

Well they just paid 20 million Euro for the guy who scored the first goal, Moreno,  so I think he might be a regular this season.

They were a good side

I thought I read that Gerard Moreno played, he’s pretty handy.

Their starting XI contained at least two Spanish internationals, at least 7 players that played 30+ games in La Liga last season, and at least two players that scored 15+ goals last season in either La Liga or Ligue 1 in France.

Their keeper is 84 rated on FIFA Ultimate Team. That's 5 higher than Jordan Pickford. 

 

And Liam Palmer scored past him.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I guess 1-3 isn’t too shabby considering the talent they played.

I thought we held our own in the first half, the difference however was the number of balls we lost or gave away, they retained the ball better, however when the second half substitutions got under way we were much weaker defensively as expected.

But guru said it was ‘far from first choice’ who have they got as first choice if this mob are their reserves? 

 

They looked very good yesterday and I’m glad we played them as it must have been a great work out, both for players and a few doom and gloom merchants!

Majority first choice last season the ones that weren’t will be first choice next as they are new signings. Very good side, would expect them to do well in the europa league

Someone on twitter reckons finishing 5th in Spanish league like Villarreal did is equivalent of finishing mid table in Championship.
