Not sure why we need to find anyone to blame tbh

And let’s be honest, his intention was clearly to try and get us up...and he came damn close.

Didnt work and now we have to reset

Yup. We judge others by their actions but ourselves by our intentions, never fair to do that.

He's trying to do the right thing for the club at every turn, badly advised, unfamiliar with football etc early on but always wants to do the right thing.

Not Rhodes specific but the main issue has been the unwillingness to sell players, nobody wants to be a selling club and to build you have to keep your best and most promising players but the inability to move on deadwood and raise funds has caused issues.

Either way this is going to be the best season since we beat the blades to promotion so I don't see what you're all whining about

I think the number of advisors that were brought in and then parted ways with the club tells you how Mr Cansiri works,  there were decent knowledgeable  people with a history in the game that quite clearly weren't being listened too,  he's messed up big time .

What I don’t get is how any fan / supporter that’s followed us over more than last three years can be so entitled? I mean we’ve been through far darker periods than this even in last 5-10 years.

Unless i’m Mistaken here, and I may be:

- GK: possibly best keeper in the league on our books, two solid championship level young keepers who you’d not be upset if they played.

CB: Tom Lees as skipper, who we’ve battled to keep over the seasons fighting off interest from better clubs, Pudil;☆ was an☆ international standard player, getting on but been there and done it at this level. JvA, huge potential, giant who can play a bit and pick out a pass. If he could defend like Lees☆He can't ☆ we wouldn’t be signing him a premiership team would. Three younguns coming through one of which already looks capable, Hutch & Fox in back up so I make that 8 into 3. ☆one injury prone other poor☆

WB: if we play wing backs, I personally feel we’ll be more 343, but similar players used: Boyd and Reach both with insane engines, both capable of playing either side. ☆not true☆ Palmer, looked decent against la liga team and got a goal, will get better as he plays more consistently, Baker, looks promising, Penney; no idea why we don’t see more of our supposed best youth prospect, Fox, Pudil, Hutch, Lee all capable of playing there too...

CM: Bannan: too good for championship football ☆not true☆, Lee: as bannan☆also not true - doubt we'll see him again☆, Pessy, Bargain player, solid and reliable, Hutch, only capable of playing 15 games a season luckily we have an army of CM’s, Jones: promoted 3 times yet ‘not good enough??’☆god knows how onnhow hes played for us☆ Abdi (auto correct makes abdicated) kind of correct, Reach that’s 7 into 2/3

Forwards: An embarrassment of riches here,☆ you sure?☆ when you have to debate who your seventh best forward is and that includes an international giant that can be dangerous against any defense; the leagues all time best scorer, a player who scored more goals in calendar year than any other at point of signing...

This is potentially the best group of players we’ve ever had at this level, and whilst recruitment has been questionable I still believe we could sell the hits such as hooper, jaoa, fessi etc and more than recover costs of misses.

Lets get behind them!!

Are you on drugs?

I think one or two will have a shock when the season starts and see our team for what it is. A real lack of creative quality and too many crocks. Don't kid yourself about which of our players are Premier League quality. Let's see them do the business in the Championship first.

Spot on

The are major holes in the team that have not been address, then we have made the right back spot a bigger issue by letting Hunt go.

Abdi has not played a single minute yet of any of the games unless it was in one of the hidden friendlies, which in them selves I just done get, because come the first game of the season and hidden plays or set piece will work for one game.

We are in for a very long hard season, no cash to spend but the fans continue to be fleeced, the dross in the squad is still being paid the silly money and the best players and talents we have have been allowed to get to the last 12 months of their contracts.

DC plane and simple will set this club back 5-10 years. The only ones giving it their all are the fans every year, as we are all cheering a squad that has managed to get fit wow.

To me a lot of the pressure and expectations have come from the prices we now have to pay for everything.

Cant make everything at Wednesday Premiership prices and then expect no stick when we are a mid table championship club.

Especially when off the field as well I dont get the impression we are being well run.

chansiri gambled all on getting promoted in Carlos's second season if the gamble had come off (and it nearly did) then he'd be lauded to the heavens and rightly so ..that the gamble failed and the financial consequences that followed make him look a bit of a Charlie  …….it's fine line between a successful gambler and mug punter .

How do you estimate this?

Could it be 4 years? or 11?

lol

We are losing £20m a season after wasting a lot of money on one last big pay day players, to pay for this we have ripped off the fans with the promise of we will continue to invest which clearly is not happening.

We have stagnated over the last 18 months and now top half is probably the best we can get.

We have 11 first team players out of contract in 12 months including Bannan, Joao, lee, hooper. We cannot afford to resign then and most will leave but we cannot replace them because of the chairman's mismanagement. So that 2 seasons gone but we will still have lost £20m again so we are at season 3 until we can buy players again.

Then we have to rebuild but by this time, the fans have stopped paying the silly money and the approach £100 shirts, they have finally got wise to all the fake promises and it will take years for them to come back. The chairman will have to pay and will be want to waste another £50m putting the team back in contention.

5-10 years in total. People find other things to spend on and if they feel cheated they may never return. Add to that the excessive kids prices compared to other local options and we could lose the next generation of fans.

absolutely ….a gamble is a gamble is a gamble and I don't blame him for going for it …...but it had to come off, he'd have known that we would be financial difficulties if it didn't so now he and we have to pay the price ..

Aye, the "Ridsdale" philosophy to football chairmanship (how we laughed at the consequences of that one).

We had two nearly great seasons in terms of points and league position, watching some great players but unfortunately fell narrowly short. With football league financial rules, we will now have to be content with mid table average performances.

That doesn't exclude the fact that recruitment has been below par, football style from September 2017 - now has been unentertaining and that the fans are now being exploited for more income. Nobody is expected to have the best recruitment all the time, teams are not expected to consistently churn out brilliant football and no-one expects these premium prices to  be in place in 5 years time as they are precautions to help soften the impact of the previous two years. I would like to see how they forecasted the price elasticity of Wednesday fans because I am still adamant that a drop in prices and engaging marketing would turnover more revenue (who am I to say that however).

It really is just a bit of a 'come down' from two play off push's, but I for one am glad we went for it those years and I thoroughly understand the strains we are now put under because of them. Give it a couple of years I expect us to generate and go again.

The thing that sticks in the throat though is the misleading of the fans time and time agsin. They turn up in their thousands, pay the excessive price, pay £30 more for a football shirt because the thread last a few more washes. But to tell everyone we were still going for it and investing and everyone pay on that basis.

I

then do the complete opposite, you would ask for a refund of you paid for a Ferrari and they then delivered a Fiesta instead.

but everyone praises him for his he has done, we would have been further forward now with Milan still in charge that's how much of a clusterfuck he has made of it. At least under Milan we were only losing £5m a season.

The team that started the game before chansiri took over were

Westwood

Palmer

Loovens

Lees

Mattock

Maguire

Baker (Chelsea youngster)

Semedo

Maghoma

Nuhiu

Keane

Subs

Wildsmith

Dielna

Lee

May

Buxton

Lavery

Helan

Compare that to the players who we could field next Saturday and the team we have now is light years ahead. Yes Dc made plenty of mistakes (and will continue to do so) and appears to not always learn from his mistakes. However think about some of the football we have seen in the last 3 seasons especially, and what some of the players are capable of. I reckon you could get significantly north of £45m today if you sold our few best players which is significantly more than we paid for them.
