@owlstalk
Can someone correct me if this is wrong BUT aren't the pay on the day prices the same they've been for the last 3 or 4 years? Owlstalk Shop

It's impossible to say because of the category system. It depends how they allocate games. The opening game this year is a higher category than last season if what somebody posted earlier is correct. And it's higher than the Hull game last year.

Hull is obviously £39 because it's the first game of the season compared to last season when it was (f**k knows cant remember, all the games blended into the next )
bigdan2003
The prices are daft. But Wednesday aren’t completely at blame here (although I know it’s them setting the price here) It’s football in general. It’s the FA, The Football League and the Premier League who I portion blame to. The daft FFP rules forces clubs to charge more (or simply provides them an excuse). The stupid parachute payments that give an unfair advantage to clubs who failed.

It's £30 for Derby against Leeds for Lampard's first game. Cheapest ticket at Villa £20. Wednesday set their own prices as does every club. Looking higher up the chain at the issue and Sky Sports is to blame And even more crucially all those who pay for Sky Sports to watch the footy It's all a domino effect down from the households paying for Sky They buy Sky cos they wanna watch the footy though so.... Nero
Why do people who don't go or are (allegedly) stopping going feel compelled to tell everyone else that they shouldn't go either now that they aren't? 1

If each club kept their own TV income we would be able to compete with the vast majority of Premier League landfill clubs like Bournemouth, Burnley, Watford etc etc who survive on inflated TV money from households paying to watch MUFC Liverpool Arsenal etc. They would have to compete on gate receipts. This is the real problem we face.

Remove that and the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool would have revenue streams that would dwarf everyone else's to an even greater extent than now. It just gives an opportunity to the serial whingers and those who wouldn’t attend a match if it was £5 per game to vent their collective bile at those who actually do go and actually enjoy the experience! God forbid another playoff final and they can’t get a ticket.......... OT meltdown!
