Think you raise a fair point technically we are behind, we seem to take an age to control the ball and pass it on. We need to improve in this area so much. But my opinion based on what I’ve seen of both teams is that France are different class. As good as our progress was, we rarely looked dangerous in open play. Yes that was a problem but I think we would have given them a good game , no battering as you suggest

I loved watching our games and I’ve had a brilliant time up to the second half in the semi onwards .

If , if Sterling could finish if , if Kane had put that chance away to make it 2-0 in the semi , small margins . we weren’t that far away to say we aren’t the finished article . Over all this World Cup has been brilliant and very rarely boring I have loved it
HIGHERSTATE
I always respect waddles opinion on tbe matter as hes seen and done it in europe..he always had a meltdown as hes metaphorically banged his head against the wall on the radio after each tournament. He can see whats missing in our game. This time he was crying with happiness..maybe because we had a clear plan and way of playing that we hadnt had for so long..we actually tried passing and moving it around quickly.. But we still dont look as comfortable on the ball as 90 percent of other international teams..people talk about being competitive too young.. Guest
Really hope Loftus-Cheek pushes on, he could be a top top attacking midfielder if he starts to get regular games with better players.

Athelwulf
Clubs develop players here to sell on and play in the PL. That's how they survive. But the way they develop them isn't suited to a good England team. Martinez said that many of those top Spanish players wouldn't have made it here because they're not big enough.
