But hang on some people on here have said Nixon doesn’t know anything?lol

And...

some people on here (the same ones?) say that all our fullback are rubbish?

I disagree, but £1.6m for rubbish/mediocre in the last year of his contract. Good business for us.

Think you're being a tad OTT.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we bring in a replacement.

But do you think we can sign anyone better for that sort of money?

Several comments about loan signings but given our recent record I'm not confident about much happening there.

Pretty sure Jos' preferred formation is a 4-2-3-1?

Perhaps he wants a more solid fullback?

Hunt isn't the strongest defensively (though he has improved) and his crossing is very hit and miss.

Good bit of business for me

I like Hunt's attitude, he's a decent athlete, but for every decent cross he puts over, there's 7 or 8 that are woeful

Last year of contract, 1.6 million fee, which might be used to bring in Venancio

Job's a gud un

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

Has he played that formation yet.?

We will have wait and see.

Perhaps we already have someone lined up?

Hunt will be on decent money and has a year left on his contract. He's 27? and (like a few others) isn't likely to be offered new terms on the same sort of money. IF that's the case, then we should probably get rid.

Nope.

I read it somewhere when we appointed him.

Perhaps last season was a case of finding a formation to get the best out of what he had?

Be a huge waste to see him RWB.

Only place I can see him get a perm runout in Jos's prefered formation. The middle two are really Bannan and pullapessy to loose. it would be a bigger waste to see him on the bench.

Can any of the finance specialists answer me a question please. Does all the transfer fee class as income in this financial year or is it spread over a period of time, if so how long?

Thanks in advance

Lee was garbage at right back for us! Also not quick enough for a wing back

We signed him as a right back and he played a handful of games in that position.

Further, wingback isn't the same as fullback.

Lee , if he can stay fit is perfect for that role.

Hes also the best central midfielder at the club when fit

Over a 46 game champ season with our injury record I reckon it's unlikely 2 players could nail down regular spots in centre mid.
