Kalamunda
Man-marked McManaman out of the game at Anfield once. Very confident performance that... but don’t remember much else from him

Birley Owl 1867
Gets a lot of uncalled for stick imo. He had tough job following arguably our best two right backs ever in Petrescu and Nilsson. But he was damn sight better than any one who's followed him since. 1
Bluesteel
Remember some good goals away at Villa and in a much needed win at home to Boro on Boxing Day. Not as good as those before him, but considerably better than those that followed.

George
He was actually a pretty decent player. He could play centre half, right back or as the holding midfielder and was actually pretty good in the latter in my view. A good man marker. Apart from that goal at Villa, the thing I really remember is going to coventry with him and Des as centre halves against Dion Dublin. They had no chance. Awful team selection. Would say the nearest player in terms of style Wednesday have had in last few years to Atherton is Semedo who was idolised and tears in many peoples eyes when he left. Peter Atherton was a miles better player then Semedo.
OhForAnotherShez
wasn't a bad player. Good attitude and leader. Just had to follow an excellent player in Nilsson. Petrescue? Soft as a bag of knackers! Good luck to him. Edited July 3, 2018 by OhForAnotherShez
Lord Snooty
Id have never have signed him. On the other hand you can see why the managers all seemed to like him. One of Trevors "Over the odds for average" transfer. Sign of the times.

hasthagotanycheese
Atherton was a competent and dependable player. Much better than some of the other dross that we signed back in those days like Jonk, Sonner & the awful Nolan.
