Nope sorry, Hooper has not managed to play half a season since he arrived at Sheffield.

Hoopers stats   2016/2017  championship games started 17 , came on as sub 6 times, played full 90min 3 times.

2017/2018  championship games started 22 , came on as sub 2 times, playrd full  90 min 14 times.

Hope those stats for Hooper are interesting enough for you, to get promoted we need players who are strong enough

to play 40 plus games in a season.

Finally GH got no where the first team last season because our chairman banned him from playing.

GH got no where near first team because he refused the contract offer fact, fact, fact. Stop with the blame the chairman clap trap. Move on he's gone!!!!

Our chairman has got to learn that lots of players turn down new contracts.

That does not mean that the best way to resolve a players contract dispute is to ban a player

from playing for the club.

IF Mr C wants to decide who can or can not play for the club, then let him appoint himself as first team manager.

As for GH we have lost the services of the best young player I have seen at S6 since the days of

Mel Sterland and Co.

Chairman did the right thing the player’s head had been turned and he was holding ‘the team’ he’d ‘supported all his life’ to ransom. His demands were not proportional to the interest though, I didn’t see any of the so called ‘big guns’ in for George, in fact I’d heard a lot of them had turned away pondering what all the fuss was about.

Forestieri using Twitter to wish Hirst all the best, and Hirst thanking Forestieri for ‘guidance’ quite perfectly sums up modern day football in one succinct piece of communication.

Football ceased being a sport back when the prem was formed and sky came along, its a business and highly lucrative.

Wherever huge pots of cash are thrown around, theres bound to be corruption, lies, deceit  & people looking to line their pockets, loyalty is thin on the ground and people will say or do whatever they need to,in order to fill their own bank accounts, not unlike politics. If a footballer can earn in a career more than the 25,000 that watch him each week can earn in a lifetime who can blame them.

Young Hirsts history now,we need to move on.

Read prem as perm but it still makes sense.

Well done to Chansiri and the club for refusing to give in to ridiculous wage demands from a player and his advisors. A player who has never played in the championship. Concentrate on players who want to play for Wednesday not grade A butt holes.

You missed my point which was they should not have stopped him playing. Blame lays on both sides.

George was never going to sign that contract, his head had already been turned and he was always going to move to the Premier League and that’s what he’s done.

The club at the time we’re faced with an option, do they continue to develop a player that doesn’t want to be here or do they give his place in the side to a young striker that does want to be here and put their energies into developing him instead.

Well said - as I have said previously, the decision not to play him had nothing to do with money and everything to do with principles, sadly for Hirst and co it was the polar opposite. .

Cannot see why people keep blaming the club for not playing him. He wanted to leave and told the club so. So DC decided to concentrate on players who want to play for Wednesday.

And ironically, if he’d have stayed loyal and reasonable he would have without doubt got some more first team game-time under his belt under Jos. Isn’t it funny how things work out sometimes in life - especially when you let other things get in the way. Let’s hope for George’s sake that this isn’t the sign of things to come!
