So out of interest in the real world how many EPL clubs are chasing the signatures of two crocs like Hooper and Fletcher?

Neither have kicked a ball in anger during 2018 and according to Jos are not yet fit to join pre season training with

the first team.

Well, Hooper and Fletcher were playing up until the turn of the year.

Nuhiu and Joao then stepped in and scored over 20 goals in the second part of the season.

Hirst Jnr wasn't getting anywhere near that first team.

Hope that was interesting enough for you.

A snake wishing another snake well. Imagine my shock.

No wonder Hirst's done what he's done. Forestieri's been his mentor.

I'm dropping this offer down, 1 like and I'll end him.

Guidance lollollol

if you say guidance is chucking your toys out the prem to get a bigger pay packet then you can fizz off as well ‘Fessi’

Good luck to the lad although he's going through the motions holding that shirt up etc.

When we played Millwall we didn't have one striker.

So yes he would have played a number of times and he would have scored goals in the Championship for his club.

Would have changed everything.

How many times have you seen him play?

Like, actually in the flesh?

Once, twice, multiple times?

Deep shame #swfc for handling this so badly.

Withholding football should never again be used as a leverage tactic.

It should when some 17 year old wants a first teamer wage packet after scoring a few goals in the under 23s.

Kid needs a reality check

What's clear to me is DC is new to our club and has no memory of David Hirst the player.

No emotional connection to this.

Some would say that's a good thing.

But to me it is the reason he allowed the disinterest of our last idiot manager to guide his decision. He didn't know any different.

He has made such a monumental error. It will haunt the club for years.

In my opinion, what a load of guff. Its good he has no connection, thats the game Hirst senior has been playing. Trying to screw the club over on his so called past exploits. If we are honest, the club subsidised most of his career because he never really looked after himself and was always injured or bladdered. He should have achieved far more with the ability he had.

And you respond with a load of biased guff of your owm.

I'm guessing you are old enough to remember why Hirst was injured so much?

One disgusting tackle by Steve Bould.

Nothing to do with being bladdered.

Typical sij question.  He played for us once.

And I saw enough to tell he was a chip off the old block.

How many times did you watch David Hirst play ?

It's a completely valid question.

Did you see him play in a brief cameo against Reading then?

Or did you watch him playing any Under 23 games?

I think we all know the answer.

As for David Hirst (not sure what that has to do with anything):

I saw David Hirst play a handful of times. In his prime I was about 5 years old, so apologies if my memory is a bit sketchy on that.

So you don't really know much about David Hirst other than footage and the fuss people make?

Do you think that should disqualify you from an opinion?

Rightly or wrongly that was tactical rather than none available.

Maybe, maybe not.

Ditto above.

That's not the same though.

David Hirst had a proven track record in the top flight, won England caps and so on. He retired about 20 years ago.

George is a kid with one substitute senior appearance against Reading. You may have watched a handful of clips on Youtube, but to sit there and tell everyone that the lad should have been a first teamer (above the likes of Hooper, Nando, Fletcher and so on) is just mental.

Plus - the first team football thing...complete red herring imo. This largely came down to money, not opportunity (or lack thereof).

He had one season when he scored over 30 goals, and was injured for a period of time that season. Are you honestly saying he looked after himself as best he could, especially when injured.

Yes i have been watching Wednesday since 74/75 season.

It was a shocking tackle agreed, but that was not why he had so many other injuries.
