The notion that Jos doesn't pick certain players for contractual/financial reasons, dies hard. The information I have from the bowels of the club is that there is no truth in this rumour whatsoever. The only players unavailable to be picked are those who are injured, for example Hooper and Lee. The others don't play because either Jos doesn't want them to, or because he's alienated them to such an extent that he can't now play them even if he wants to, for instance Westwood.
