There are 2 brands involved in a football shirt - often 3. The sponsor

A shirt has to accomodate all 3 brands while considering the promotion of the brand - the person wearing it should be considered also.

Thats why Milan refused to allow our clubs brand to be damaged by associating with a payday loans company.

That's not why people buy it though, is it? I don't buy a replica shirt based on which brand manufactured it, I buy it because it's a Wednesday shirt. It's irrelevant to me if it was made by Nike or Elev8, and it's irrelevant whether it has Chansiri across the front or any other brand. The only thing relevant is that it's a Wednesday shirt, and if I like it enough and can afford it, I'll buy it.

So if our shirts were sponsored by Tampax - you'd buy it because its a Wednesday shirt? Or a dildo manufacturer?

Depends if I liked the shirt or not.

Your earlier argument was about buying a brand. That suggests you don't understand the basic point of a replica football shirt.

I recently wanted a couple of cheap, shot-sleeved summer shirts for holiday wear, and because the ones I had were getting a little tight.I say they are shrinking in the wash, my Lady insits that I'm getting fat. Seeing as how my trousers seem to be suffering the same disease, I guess she's right, as usual. I went n the web and decided that a couple of shirts from Matalan would be as good as any. Imagine my shock when I found it near impossible to get a shirt for a little under £30 anywhere.

When you consider the number of Dedicated Wed. shirts will make a run, I would think a maximum of 30,000, compared with a run for Matalan of much more, AND the shirts had a much tighter fit despite my getting a larger size, I don't suppose the £60 sounds too bad a bet.

My earlier point was about 3 brands being involved on a football shirt and all of them are relevant.

Your post suggests you don't understand the first thing about branding

What did you mean by this then, in your reply to Coops?

(and just FYI, I've worked for the last 14 years in sportswear branding - we're one of adidas's lead creative agencies and we've previously worked with Nike, Puma, New Balance and others - so I like to think I have a rough idea about it)

Totally incorrect - its about buying a brand, and about buying a brand recognised, and with a history, for providing quality sportswear. And along with that a range of additional sportswear for sale in the club shop.

Wore my £99 shirt for the first time today. It has some special pheromone it emits that reacts with your sweat to attract the ladies.

I copped off 27 times before tea and had 8 BJs

Just saying
