Winnall looking forward to a fresh start

So rumour us that he had a altercation with FF.

With FF still at the club, are we willing to put the 2 back in the same changing room?

Suppose the hope is that after a year apart it'll be water under the bridge. I suspect with Winnall it'll come down to how things go more widely - if we start strongly and he's getting game time and goals all will be well, if the wheels start to come off again he could be an issue.

SO.....

Is Sam Winnall returning an opportunity for us to get a top striker back at the club for free?

OR

Is it a huge dark cloud descending over the happiness of the squad?

I'm honestly looking forward to see what Jos can get out of him, it's a fresh start for all concerned.

There's no point in getting on the players back, none of us know what really went on last year.

IF SW has got a "bad attitude" Jos will sort him, one way or the other.

regards winnall and fessi spat/fallout  ,we have had a lot worse hooper and westwood have crossed words before, after losing to pigs bannan and lees were head to chest in an argument which fletcher joined in ,yet they all went on holiday together , 5 min then its over with.

The fans are quite happy to forgive FF for refusing to travel to Norwich - I think Winnall deserves the same chance. New manager, new start. Any funny business then, whoever it is, he's on his way for me. As one of the pundits said the other day (think it was Lee Dixon), you don't have to like ALL your team mates but you do have to respect them as footballers and do what is best for the common cause, the team.

Not convinced his words will change anything, but time will tell.

Unsure where he's at with recovery, but did his injury back in Feb so chance he might be training come end of summer.

We're definitely top-heavy with strikers. Something has to give there.

if Rhodes leaves & Forestieri is considered an attacking midfielder  it leaves us with 5.

winnall won’t be fit for some time yet either.

Forestieri has to be considered as a forward He’s wasted playing deeper

Completely disagree.

He's out of the game so much when he is a forward that the game can pass him by.

Sat between a striker and the midfield he is an enigma.

Proven you say.

Some on here say having a proven striker means nothing.

Some say having the most proven striker the Championship has ever seen means nothing.   Never mind a bloke who has merely done it briefly with a side in form.

Oh well

yeah! you're not a 'really' proven striker in the championship unless you've played in a side that takes a month to get it forward
