Clare situation seems a bit different. Reports suggest he..or his agency are playing the field to assess best contract offer.

I have asked before but I don't think anyone answered but has it actually been said that he isn't signing or is it just that he hasn't signed (yet)?

I will be glad when it is all done and dusted, one thing is for sure, the Club will still be here and I will still be supporting it.

Anyway, back to Preslav Borukov.

Seems a very good prospect, had him in a few of my team selections last season. Though still needs perhaps another full season in the dev squad. Looking forward to see him play in the Hallam FC friendly.

While I agree with the sentiment.

If someone offered you 4 times your wages would you stay loyal to your current employer.

FFS.

I wish people would stop comparing employment as a footballer with employment as an ordinary wage earner. Young Hirst has probably been offered about  £4k pw (educated guess)

If £200k per year NHS surgeons said they were all going to work full time in the private sector because they could triple their earnings there'd be a queue on here wanting to condemn them as greedy bar stewards.

Or a disillusioned father trying to relive their career through their son.

Or just someone attempting to earn as much money as possible for a short career.

Same as we all do, we all want more money human nature, amazed some cannot see that.

Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed they have offered Preslav Borukov a new contract and are confident he is going to sign it.

We've been highlighting this player for some time now as he's bursting through the ranks banging in goals in a big way for the U18's and U23 sides we have at Hillsborough as well as during his international games for Bulgaria

He's a real prospect, big, strong, and prolific

We need him to sign this contract and continue to be a core part of our youth development and he could very well become a first team player, especially under Jos who has a refreshing approach to developing and nurturing the young hungry, and exciting talent we have in our younger sides (unlike his predecessor who is now currently without a job)

Come on Borukov - GET SIGNING!

crewe look a handy set.

But the 0.00000001% do know. Its identifying who the person is. I can't see it being more than one at that percentage rate.:Chansiri:

Hirst just stay son.

This is your club

Your home

Your Dad was a legend with us and you can be too

You’ll never wear a finer kit*

You’ll never have a better badge over your chest

You’ll never play for better, more devoted fans

This is your home son

You’re one of us

Stay

Or leave, it’s football I guess and it’s your job.

But you could stay and be the one to fire us to back to the big time

Up to you

Yes I would. I work for my wife. The ramifications of walking out, even for four times the wages, are too terrifying to contemplate. Hirsty should take a leaf out of my book.

Mate I'm scared for you.

I also understand that no wage increase could compensate for what you would go through.
