I don’t care if buying football shirts is only for kids...

But we have gone back to our old badge (or at least a derivative of it).

You know what he means.

Our iconic, instantly recognisable badge. Known all around the world.

Not the 50s reject, we currently wear, in the wrong shade of blue!

lol

Of course I know what he means, but I guess your viewpoint depends upon when you first started following Wednesday. The 'iconic' 1970s Owl to which he referred wasn't in existence when I first started supporting Wednesday so, although I do like it, it doesn't create the same depth of feeling with it for me.

As long as the colour remains blue and white I'm not fussed on the design

Just curious.

If the design ya loads of white dog poo and a heavily infected blue waffle (don’t google this) all over it would you be fussed.

The colours would be blue and white after all.

p.s I miss the good old days where white dog poo was still around.

I'd rather have a good design than insisting on stripes

I prefer stripes but if every other year we had a different design to stripes I would be quite happy . Cheques , diagonals , gradient stripes . If it's blue and white and we get proper stripes every other year I wouldn't mind .  Look at bayern and Barcelona . They let their designers go mad with their basic colours and their fans don't mind and neither do the glory hunters who couldnt find the grounds of their supported team on a map .

Our current badge will be iconic and known worldwide as of next year when we return to the big time.

...and I haven’t bought one for years but I’m buying one this season if we go back to a proper traditional striped design.

My reason? To encourage Mr C to stop fvcckking about with our identity.

Buying football shirts isn't only for kids it's just something the cool people say.

I love seeing our shirt on people especially when I'm out of town.

I'm with the op.  I've never bought a shirt since I grew up.  However, if we go back to stripes, I'll be getting one and carry on buying one every time it's stripes.  Over to you DC.

They only ever say it to each other though as nobody else listens to them.

If the world listened to them we'd all be wearing Stone Island and those hats with goggles built into em

How's that working out for you?

I hate to say it, but I very much doubt the badge of a team that hasn’t been in the Premier League for almost two decades is known all around the world, apart from maybe being known to ex-pats.

Hopefully one that's slightly too small to wind them up even more ??

Are they not all too small for us oldies, who have drunk a little too much ale over the years?

If the current style (no stripes) was kept for the next four or five years people might become desensitised to not having stripes

Being in the 3rd division would be 'desensitising' enough.

Doubt it.

We were stripeless for 7years 1965/72 ,if memory serves correctly. I certainly never felt de sensitised by the passing of time. It was a great day when the stripes came back, ( even though it took another decade for thee team to realise they were supposed to play better in stripes).
