There’s a difference between criticism and abuse.

This is one of those social media one on ones I've heard about. You've lost me fella. All the best to you.

That's true enough.

A Fernando or Hutchinson  pass similarly  doesn't quite make its man though and there's either respectful quiet or applause for the good intention .

That's the difference.

Always will be .

I'm sure he knows that though.

Agree with this - when Baker missed a ball near the South in the 2nd half there were no moans or groans despite it being a basic error.  I'm not saying he should have been booed - he probably didn't (and rightly so) as he was having a great debut - but the contrast to the treatment Nuhiu got was noticeable

Criticism is pointing out floors which a person could perhaps work on and improve

Abuse is just saying stupid nasty sht that has no base, meaning or point except to make the abuser feel better

And a tw@t is simply just a tw@t

Nuhui has always been well supported IMO at the games. It's more on social media he gets a bashing.

Nuhui has to accept as a striker with his record before this season, he wont be everyone cup of tea.

Some strikers come of age after their mid twenties, hopefully that is what we are witnessing, I don't think any of us can deny he is one of the first names on the team sheet now and I think that is even with Hooper back. Wow just typing that.

Wouldn’t be arsed if he left tbh. Yes he’s in a good bit of form and yes he gives us something different, but let’s not forget bar a couple of cup games, he’d been useless right up until the Leeds away game

No he hadn’t he’s been good in every game , is ten times times the player fletcher is on a fraction of the wage. I’d love him to stay

A bit disappointing interview, tbh.

He's on the form of his life and needs to wee wee tail off about being "unloved"?

Ok then.  It was all us.  Our fault.  We'll take it in the chin, Atdhe, and offer a gracious mean culpa.

Bit harsh that mate

Few people saying Adthe has had half a good season.

True he's had his best goalscoring spell in this half a season.

He's performed very well in other games but just not scored many goals.

You can play well and not score a goal.

But then goals is the only currency some supporters deal in.

He's a striker, gets paid more than any other position on the pitch, so why is it wrong to expect a striker not to score.

You can play well and not score, which I fully agree, but he hasn't done that on a regular basis, he's had many mediocre games and if he would have scored in those matches, then he wouldn't be getting as much  flack, but he didn't, did he.

When he's played in the past he's sometimes looked too slow and not very prolific. But he's always been a useful player with good ability on the ball.

But the majority have always loved him as a character even if they wished he'd put away his chances more.

This is the problem with social media. Players take to heart what the 5 or 10% think.

Sheridan was very popular. The reason why he sometimes got booed was because he was sometimes seen out on the p155 the night before a match. I think the Oxford game he was spotted at pine grove country club. Of course without the internet it was all word of mouth. After the match he was surprised as he had not been booed before (he said ) although you clearly know better - and it gave him a kick up the arse 3 weeks before the cup final. So you are right sometimes fans criticism is what is needed. Oh hang on.........

So you’re suggesting the fans who booed / screamed abuse at Sheridan were merely trying to motivate him to play better or make some lifestyle changes and be a better professional . Or was it more likely that they were enraged that their team was losing 2-0 at home to Oxford at a crucial stage of the season? That Sheridan turned the negative of that night into the positive of his subsequent performances that season surely highlights his strength of character rather than a vindication of the treatment he received from a vocal minority of fans. Not all targeted players are capable of that.

Carlos did not get the best out of some of our most important players with his tactics . Atdhe was one of them and has suffered for it. He is a revelation under Jos and hopefully he will stay but I think that very much rests on how strong Jos position is, as if a new manager came in he could find himself back on the bench again or not even making the side.

Hope he stays but on a knife edge I think.

Personally think footballers need to grow up.

There will always be a tiny percentage of idiots that may shout vile abuse at a match

This is totally unacceptable

Moaning and groaning at a sloppy pass, a lack of effort, a basic error etc - is not abuse. As passionate supporters it’s just an outburst of emotion. They must surely accept that

For the amount of praise they get throughout a match for hardly doing a thing - i.e tracking a run, passing it 5 yards - they should be able to put up with a negative minority

Yet for every 1000 praises they get they always seem to focus on the 1 negative

Have we set a deadline for him to re-sign? I envisage his agent will be pushing his name around but how long do you leave it?

contracts run to the end of june so until then he our player , I doubt the club would withdraw the offer if he hums and hars

I think, listening to that he's just getting a couple of things off his chest, it's quite possibly the first time he's felt able to.

The blokes gives 100% every game and unfortunately, some were never able to see what he brings to the team until the last few weeks.

I'm going to say there's probably a little bit of him that would like to move but, I think he loves the club and provided we give him what he's able to get elsewhere I think he'll stay.

I believe the clincher will be Jos, as a player you don't walk away from the guy who's helped you to the form of your life, not easily anyway.
