robswfc
More like 1990's Coutinho tbh. Brilliant as Forestieri is, Carbone was way better 1

Yes the odd one would fly in and everyone would laud him but the hard facts were we were scoring 1 screamer instead of 10 tap ins
Treborowl
OP has caused some healthy debate. I'll sit on the fence; both brilliant, both created and scored, both gave cause to have their characters judged.
WatfordOwl
Carbone did it in the PL - FF has done it in the Championship. FF is a decent flair player but Benni was a cut above. That overhead kick against Newcastle still gives me goosebumps.

This is nothing on forestieri but carbone was one of the best players ever to play for us ability wise hence he played for premier league Sheffield Wednesday , Aston Villa as well as inter Milan .

I'm an Essex Owl
Absolutely love FF (and on his day one of my favourite Owls players ever) but have to say Carbone was better in my opinion. He did it in the Prem (in an average side). Also Carbone was not so long after we had numerous top quality players and internationals in the side and maybe we took him a bit for granted, whereas Nando follows years and years of journeymen and quite frankly horse poo so perhaps we had forgotten what talent was... Salmonbones
This is like saying JJ is better than Regi Blinker. Loved both players but you need to be realistic. Carbone may have had a serious case of tunnel vision when it came to a pass at times, but his skill was world stage, not Championship stage. If anything he culled his future by signing for us.
