@owlstalk 37,374
This statistic alone has got to have improved immensely since Jos took over Sheffield Wednesday Foresteri today - 87% Boyd today - 80% Am pretty sure Pelupessy wil be right up there too Amazing stuff. Jos is doing a right job here isnt' he? Owlstalk Shop
leono 491
This is a pretty weird statistic to focus on. When we last played reading, Hooper had a passing accuracy of 93% and David Jones (!) had 93% too. The more important fact is that this time we smashed 3 goals past them; last time it was 0-0. 1

I think it's something that is visibly more effective since Jos came in Every game you can see it in action Owlstalk Shop

Bit harsh, i think he's improving all the time. I'd give him at least a solid 6 today, poss a 7. Won the ball a lot and gave it to BB or Reach. That's his main job isn't it? Sammi Pelupessy! I think he's been decent these last 7 games. He did need to improve, mind, as after his first 10 games or so I really wasn't at all impressed. Helps him being alongside Bannan I reckon. Brilliant - real tomato tomato stuff I thought Joey was excellent today, I don't think he made a single mistake or misplaced a single pass today. Felt that provided a critical component of an all round winning team performance.
bobness 9,480
Weren't most of our backwards passes accurate under Carlos?

Jones is always a really steady passer - he may not always move it forward in a massively meaningful way, but you never really worry about him failing to hit the nearest man. Hooper is such a canny player that i wouldn't trust a single stat about him (17 touches versues Jones 54 in your quoted stats alone! I know he was sub, but still...). He can go missing for 80min, score twice, nail 100% of his four passes and be MOM all in the same game. Love him, proper fox in (and out of) the box. That last league match against Reading is probably one of the most boring football matches I’ve ever seen. It was very much a typical Carlos Carvalhal team performance. Samurai Blue 2,223
It’s nice an’ all that, but pass completion percentages don’t mean that much without context and they were probably inflated slightly against 10 men in the latter stages. It’d be interesting to look at key passes, or passes competed in the final third, etc, to judge Jos on if and how we’re using the ball better. 2nd half yesterday definitely seemed to have more thrust though and lately we’ve not been lacking in front of goal. So something’s working. True litmus test will be the start of next season with (touch wood) a fully fit squad. Inflated, thrust & wood in the same post. I need a cold shower.
