BBC Archive Sound Effects - SWFC

Amongst 16,000 sound effects the BBC have just published are 14 recordings taken from the 1966 FA Cup Final Everton v. Sheffield Wednesday including delights such as  "frustrated crowd", "infringement" and "near miss". 

 

They're free to listen to or download for non-commercial use and can be found on page 11 at :-

I suspect there is a rather loud sound of crowd frustration as Wednesday go 2-3 down? :-)

PS. I once put a motion forward to a Penistone town council meeting that we should have a twinning ceremony with Condom in France. lol Ended up marrying a bird from near there.

Could be "Hillsborough Records" as mentioned in this thread on the SH site?  I do remembers Bradleys in town - amazingly had THREE shops in city centre !!!!

It might not be Bradleys the Hillsborough shop Dunsby 

I think it may be Turners ?

It was next to Woollies near to Hillsborough corner 

I remember between woollies and this shop was a cobbled alley that took you to the rear of the Shakey and to what was Tesco's 

It was a music shop (sold instruments too) 

Remember my sister getting her school recorder from there ......
