It was an excellent goal if at first glance it looked fairly routine. Tremendous cross from Hunt, great anticipation from Rhodes to get in front of the defender, a strong leap and the ball angled tidily away from the goalkeeper. It's been a while since we've seen this from him. Hopefully, this can be the start of him regaining whatever it was he lost since joining us.

This is what he has always done. You don't suddenly lose it forever at 27/28. Confidence is a huge factor obviously.

The big question mark is whether Jos can utilise him consistently going forward. There were signs apparently of improved all round performance on Saturday so we can hope. Mind you he'll have a battle on with Joao to play alongside Nuhiu if all fit for the upcoming games. Nuhiu us pretty much an auto pick at the moment.

It was huge for him to turn in a good performance given how far he has slid down the pecking order, and his performance was fantastic in the circumstances. Took the chance with both hands, and as already mentioned here his work-rate was as high as it's probably been in a Wednesday shirt. Ran himself into the ground and put in a real shift, even proving to be one of our most important defenders at set-pieces late on.

It's only one performance, but given the personal importance of it he was magnificent. Didn't recoil, didn't let his head drop, and took his chance well.
